in regards to my lighting cycle I was initially inspired recently by DJ Short's comment on bringing out sativa phenotypical expressions with lights set at 11\13...as I grow predominately indica Dom hybrids I've thought having lights at 13\11 would bring out indica phenotypical expressions.....also Sonic aka GanjaBaba uses 12.5\11.5 & his donkey cola grows must be doing something right?! I first adapted his 12.5\11.5 cycle in 2010 but never documented the grow & haven't grown again since but harvested my biggest yeild ever, 22oz/600w/dr120/coco/2satori & 2 iced grapefruit

Hmmm a diary....farmerlion has a very good tip, i have regretted not keeping a journal of past grows as after a prolonged break, I'd forgotten everything and have to relearn was proper pickled when I unpacked my equipment & saw the timer wasn't 12\12...like a fool I reset it to 12\12

Keep it green, peace
I'm in the same size tent mate was using a single 600 digital ballast for 660w but now I got a 350w full spec led panel Aswell so I'm trying my first led+hps grow

Don't really wanna promote it here and hijack this wonderful thread but I definitely make cock ups so if ya fancy a read of mines il send ya a pm with a couple links

I'm fully with you on the lighting schedule from a few sources! but personally I've only dropped hours of on time a few hours every two daysof the transition period, to ease the stress of flower as said and only ever shortened it at the very end in an attempt so speed up finishing if I had plants that were lagging behind slightly

Tbh it's a very interesting prospect that I'm interested in

Having said that I seem to mostly grow hybrids or heavy indica influenced plants

I digress I'm going to pm you mate let's shoot the breeze

This is with regard to storing cannabis not growing it; label the jar not the lid...

Refrigerating pollen and seeds is an awesome way for preservation to, especially if it gets hot where you live....

Does anyone have any tried and true ways to keep nice healthy roots in both flood and drain hydro system (using hydroton) and pots of coco.

In the coco I get huge roots but they slowly start to get brown a bit and overall don't look as healthy - it's not rot and I don't think it's the nutients staining them although this may contribute to the look. They are just looking a little sad.

So if anyone has any advice on keeping white healthy roots all the way through the run I am all ears!!!

I've never done hydros man but the best shit I have ever seen for roots is this stuff called rhizotonic from CANNA, absolutely unreal shit. The roots grow more vigorously then anything I have ever seen. But this was in soil... Not sure if there is a hydro version, or if it can just be used all rounder. I'd keep an ear out on that and give it a shot though....
Here's a link: https://www.cannagardening.com/rhizotonic

Just read it is also used for hydros.

I like these Glad brand plastic containers for controlling run-off, cloning and popping seeds.

They are useful because they stack on my square pots so small plants can be placed near the light at the same time as larger plant veg. I don't stack them in the flower room though.

Blue tape is good for labeling as it can be transferred from pot to pot as my plants grow.

Those glad tupaware containers are a gold idea man. I'll be using this one in the future. Same with your tagging method. Wicked stuff. The ingenuity of a grower huh

I guess it's all about perspective mate. You have saved me a job. And I don't like to think I'm lazy as only grow outdoors and have to run plants and water kilometers up roads and into bushes.

Growing in or outdoor is super hard work. Anything that our lives a little easier Is welcome - it's not being lazy in my opinion. I can spend nore than 25+ hours a week in garden and still not feel like everything is done the way I like it.

That's kind of why I started this thread I was hoping to get some ideas that can see us growers some time and headaches - growing when things are going good can be tough - graphing when things start fuckin up is a huge pain in the ass!
