I'd have to agree with this post. I used Boveda 62's this yr in cure and to me they worked good, better for the ones whom dried quick in hang. It gave them a fighting chance to retain something.

But for smell it seems as if I gwt more once I pull out into a smaller jar for a day or so. If I'm heading out I let the buds get some air before jarring up and hitting the road. Burns, smells, & tasted better below the 62%mark.

Well guys....I was blessed with being born by the grace of the good lord in the dirty south , and the first crops we grew outside well over 30 yrs ago hung in tobacco barns from the 1700`s , and with constant relative humidity in the 80-90 percentile 24/7/365 , a long slow dry and cure with constant air movement over a week to 10 days was perfect for a clean snapping stem , bucking , and straight into 1 gal glass jugs for the duration until leaving for market.....now....

I guess what I`m trying to get across is folks rely too much on the widgets and gadgets these days looking for that "perfect" end product when it`all subjective at best with each person`s individual preference.....

62% RH as a holding/storage tool was created by cigar afficianados and their walk-in-humidor environmental rules based on scientific research from the tobacco industry , not marijuana but yes 62% is the perfect "holding" RH percentage for glass jar storage , but to smoke the shit and grab all the flavors and smells each cultivar has to offer , IME the shit needs to be drier and since there`s really no way to measure how much water vapor my nugs evaporate "out" of the jar , I`d say the drier but still chewy ooey gooey`s the best texture to burn....50-ish and lower ?.....who knows...but yeah Scrappy....

69% dope`s wet in my book too.....I bought some of the 62% bovedas some yrs back when they got popular , but I`d done this shit so long I never even tried em and went on about my business...anyways....think they`re out in the barn....

Happy holidays guys and.....

Peace....DHF..........

Normally I use wet stems/leaves from the strain harvested if possible to moisten up if they dry out quick. But this year I didn't have the chance with the heat drying everything so quick. I had no plants in veg to pluck leaves from so had to go with bovedas. Prior to that stems and leaves usually work for me to keep things moist.

Im using 62s snd i agree with jellyfish that the dubbage feels dryer than i expected. The monitors dont lie though they are 62. I put 2 large packs into sealed 5 gal buckets and then store in a cool place for a few months then into jars or hash.
