AWAKEN(S) Sour D x Jack
Just because I can't find a grow of the Sour Jack, I'll post here.
Grew a pack of these this summer OD. I opine that the "ECSD" is not what I know to be Sour D. I received a cut from someone years back that was "ECSD" and it shared a similar terpene profile as the plants that came from the pack of Sour Jack. Great plant, not knocking Chimera, but surely not the Sour D that I know and love. The hunt continues for a real Sour D hybrid... Peas |

Come on AWAKEN, post some of your results if you are going to claim some sort of fraud on our part... registered for discussion nicks have little credibility here.
The Sour D x Jack are F1-hybrid seeds, and as such are not identical to the Sour D. The clone used in the production of the Sour D x Jack and Sweet n' SourD hybrids is the original Sour D/ECSd clone, this has been confirmed by DNA testing... its really not up for debate. I do have to laugh at the number of clone trolls popping up lately telling me what plants I do or do not have. I don't simply take clones with a name and use them - we verify every cut with DNA and metabolite profiling against originals obtained in their local markets. There is no doubt the Sour D clone in our collection is the same clone grown in Cali and elsewhere. Guys, I know growers the world over, who kindly open their gardens to us... some hate that my reputation gains access to places others don't get to go... but SD isn't exactly hoarded as tightly as some may think, she's out there freely available you know where to look.

I meant no offence in this post. It's merely an anecdotal observation. If you read, I never said you don't have the real cut. I had what i know to be a Sour D cut and lost her. I had someone send me a clone of "ECSD" that shared the same terpene profile as the plants produced from your seeds, hence why i opine as stated in my previous post. It was surely not the Sour D, though. This was never meant as an attack, just my observations. Your response seems a bit defensive and unnecessarily abrasive. I understand what an F1 hybrids express, and of all the many thousands of F1's I've been through, they all have hints of both parents. Your reply insinuates ineptitude on my behalf, and frankly it's insulting. This one did not show any signs of sour. Just sayin'. So maybe the Jack dominates. The sour is recessive and does not show near as much as a stable line will, of this I am aware. It was a great plant, not saying it wasn't. I also had a very high male to female ratio, 7 to 3, which is very uncommon in my garden. Not saying you don't have the "real" cut, just that the characteristics I was seeking were not expressed in this cross. I still have another pack, and will grow them to see the results. Try being a bit more understanding next time, as I am only providing my experience for other people to see. Don't you think that's fair? I don't spend money on seeds often, and when I do, I am selective and research before I do. I always want feedback on seeds I make. Good or bad. I didn't register to post this. I had an account attached to an old email that no longer exists, so I was forced to re register recently so I could do research. I stopped coming to IC years ago because of all the egos and attitudes. ![]() This garden was 100% amended organic soil, foliars, SST's and AACT in 30 gallon smarties. Best wishes on your ventures. I think the characteristics you were thinking of as 'Sour D' are something other than.
I'm gonna assume your old cut of Sour D is from Rez's Sour Diesel seed line - an attempt to put the ECSD clone into seed form. If not then it's from someone else's attempt to knock off the original, often imitated but never duplicated... ECSD. If you're looking for something other than that, you're not looking for sour diesel. |

So you know what real sour d is, and it's not ecsd... Good luck trying to convince anyone else on this site. RIU might be a better fit for you. |

Moot does not equal trolling but ok bro whatever you say.
Guess we'll find out who the tough guy is when the ban hammer comes down, eh? I'm sure you're used to it by now. |
