Most relaxing/mellow/feeling of well-being chimera strain - for anxiety

Looking to try some chimera strains and wanted to know which of his strains had more relaxing, mellow, feeling of well-being type highs. I have anxiety attacks on occasion and problems with anxiety in general, so I usually have trouble with the racy, up sativa highs, so I'd prefer something more indica. Anyone have any suggestions?

Also, I'd like to try his GFxBB as a number of people suggested it, but I wasn't sure if it really suited my needs or not. Can anyone tell me what the high is like?

Hello Ted,

You probably already know cannabis is really subjective; what might be calming for one person is a nightmare for another. Most lovers of cannabis have gone through periods of dealing with paranoia or other things from smoking. I always found a period of abstinence from weed worked wonders for me. I can always go back to it with a fresh perspective and let it work it's magic once more.

As for which of the Chimera varieties are best suited for someone prone to anxiety, I would say mrmop has given two good suggestions. The GF x BB is very nice giving relaxed happy vibe throughout. It also tastes great. In larger doses it can make you quite monged and is in itself pretty potent! Chimera has remarked before that C-plus isn't as strong as his other varietals and it is built for flavour, a real stinker by all accounts. The C-plus also is said to be sativa in feeling but not so potent. The GF x BB has consistently shown to be a very relaxed feel good smoke. Many reports saying as such making this your best bet. When there are consistent reports throughout then those are the varietals to try. If only one person says such an such weed is calming then always try to find others who might say the same.

Even with their more chilled vibe any cannabis can make you feel sketchy if you over indulge.

With the new Chi varieties it's a bit more tricky. Since there's only a few reports in then it might be difficult to say. Only Chimera himself could give you a definitive answer. There is the fem GF x Sweet Skunk varietal which might be good in smaller doses but I'm sure the Sweet Skunk (a haze varietal) will certainly play it's part and make this one speedy at times. If you're looking for pure BLD (indica) then you could try the Island Purps (Purps x Jack) or the Medina (Afghani/Pakistani from Morocco x Jack). These two are heavy broad leaf Afghani varietals. They are probably pretty potent though..

I think GF x BB might be your best bet for the minute. If you want more info on the new varietals then why not pm Chimera and ask. Or ask him politely to reply to this thread when he has a minute.

Best of luck in your search.

Thanks a bunch guys. Sounds like the GFxBB is a good bet. I'm going to give it a try while I still can! I've been wanting to try chimera's stuff for a while now. It's nice that there are still a few actual breeders around putting in the work.

Medina and island purps definitely interest me, but since they are his new varieties I think I will go with the GFxBB while it's still available. I feel I have a better chance at finding the new varieties in the future.
And I think you are right about the sweet skunk. I usually try to avoid the hazes...

I'd love to hear your opinion Chimera (if you read this).

Thanks again guys. Appreciate it.

here's the smoke report by b8man on gf x bb. surprisingly, he reported a possibility of both paranoia and anxiety

That link doesn't work for me Nirrity.

Yup, I'm sure there are those who might of had a few wobbly moments with the GF x BB. The possibility to become anxious is there with all cannabis if you're prone to it.

Ted, the lullaby x blockhead. Two of the three girls I flowered are super relaxing. Full body melt with a superb floating sensation. Will make you sleepy at the tail end of the fade however. Zero anxiety or raciness. The Schnazz hybrids are a good bet as well. The masterkush x SS I have is also a good alternative if you want a touch of head effect to go along with body relaxation. good luck.

i have experience with GFxBB and they do induce anxiety (at least for me, and some friends). The smoke was strong, not really mellow. The majority of pollen came from B130 male - True Blueberry Sativa. It must have kicked up the high power and add bit raciness. The rest of the pollen donors were highly selected blueberry indica dominant plants, so in the end its again pheno hunt. You definitely can come across nice blueberry hybrid with euphoric and relaxed high.
Anyway, most liked the GFxBB. It was beautiful plant with great yield, citrus/berry and blueberry smell and good fruity taste. One of the phenos cured to sweet pure blueberry smell. It was the first time i smelled blueberry from the bud. Highly recommended strain ;-)

Shit..

Looks like my experience stands corrected. I've grown quite a few and never got one that made me feel anxious.. All the reports I ever read said they were very chilled out. This has got to be the first time I've come across this. I guess any cannabis can have that effect.. Each to their own..

I agree with you Kalbhairav, you said it in the first response. Everybody has different chemistry and what one finds mellow, other may not. The best thing to do is to see for yourself, and if there are many reports GFxBB helps with the issue, then its a good place to start.
