dark devil/red poison plants per sq/ft?

Going to be growing some red poison and dark devil under 1000w hps in hydro, haven't ever grown autos before and iv'e red that these two strains from sweet seeds are light yielder's which is ok with me but I do want to get the most out of my light so how many should I be growing per square foot or how many square foot per plant. the 1000w will be covering a 4'x4' footprint...

Cheers my friend!

Welcome to ICMag and to the Sweet Seeds subforum!

A 4'x4' area is equivalent to a 1,44 square meter area and for that space I personally would use something between 25 and 36 plants. If the number of plants is not a problem to you, go with the 36 plants. If it is, go with 25. If even 25 is too much for you, then you should have mentioned it in your post, hehe

I would only use less than 25 plants in that area if the plants were not autoflowering and one could veg them longer to fill up all the area.

Once you start with them you are welcome to share the experience around here so that me, my colleague Jaypp and other members of the forum can share opinions and advice in case you need any.

Keep in mind that Dark Devil Auto tend to grow taller and stretch more than Red Poison Auto.

All the best and sweet smokes
