A little help on seed viability.
Hey Folks, some advice needed on seed viability.
So i potter around here in Ireland doin my thing.I run clones vertically, usually have 6 regular strains and switch between runs. Never any light leak probs,or emergencies,(except thrips now and again)just nice regular supply of buds. Cuts i`ve acquired include Pineapple Chunk,Lightnin`,an old Top 44 some choice unknown bagseed beauties, and a cut that came to me as "The Chem"-...I just call it Diesel,as thats how she Reeeks. True lineage unknown, but its this one i need help on. As i said, rarely any probs,but......second last time i ran a Diesel run(i`ve run this 15 times at least) all was totterin along nicely untill week 3 of flower, and i noticed male flowers on one of my diesel clones, not just a few,but the whole plant had just turned male....fully.unintentionally. A few female clusters remained on bottom few branches."Out de Fuck!!"says me,and i let him do his thing oustde in the garden. So as i watched him progress,i thought may as well use the pollen. Gathered up his genes, and spanked him a little over my Lightnin`,Top 44 and Pineapple Chunk and others. As he finished up,he also created quite a few of his/her own seeds on the few female parts of his lower self.ooooh! ![]() So Question is.....are any or all, worth a shot at growing out? Am i risking a hermie clusterfuck?...so to speak. Plant or Not Plant? And yes,i did smoke him up afterward, sacs and leaves. Was great for my Sciatica. ![]() All the best. Aln.

Seeds that are made from hermies have a greater chance of turning into hermies themselves.

You should have taken a cut from him and kept it to see if it would revert back to female or remain male.
There's been a couple exceptional males that were discovered in this same or similar manner that have produced some exceptional offspring. At least that's the claims & I have no reason to doubt them. If you go to the StankBros forum, check out the Chem Sour sticky.

Hi J.R.R,cheers for replyin...1st reply since January.
![]() In my learning days i did experience some hermie issues, down to red light from extension lead etc.true herm is fully mixed throughout the plant, top to bottom. This one threw pistils as normal during preflower and 1st week of flower(3 weeks)then became a Man.a 4 foot tall man at that. Gave 56 seeds on bottom female flowers. We will soon see as i`ve started 20 just last week, for a polytunnel try out.gonna light dep starting around mid june and see what happens. Hi MJPassion, thanks also for replying, and cheers for the info. Gonna hunt that out now.good man. All the best.
