Nanners on a male plant

This was stress induced. I put him outside late season to try and get some pollen but he got hit with frost and almost died. Brought him inside to a makeshift veg area along with a couple females and hopefully collect some pollen still.

After a week inside he's looking much better and is on a reg light schedule. The pollen sacks were all pruned up at first and looked like they might not drop. Now they look like they are plumping up again, but some of them have nanners growing out of them.

What would this pollen produce, hermaphrodites? all female seeds? This male has no pistils that I've noticed and no nanners until after I brought him in.

The dust is gonna fly either way, this guy has some nice trichomes and smells like the pheno I'm looking for. Just wondering what might come of it. Good to hear yours produced good normal plants. I remember something about a dj article on this. Thanks I'll look for it.

Anyone else have experience with this?

Is this is the quote from DJ short article "Strains of Yesteryear" that you were referring to?

https://www.cannabisculture.com/articles/4280.html

"A bit of Shantis words "(A quick word on "backward" hermaphrodites ? declared males that eventually sport female flowers ? as opposed to the usual female-to-male hermaphrodites. These are semi-rare occurrences, usually sterile but sometimes viable, that I have found at times to be valuable in their genetic contributions. Some of the most resinous and desirable males I have encountered exhibited this trait. This trait almost seems to guarantee against unwanted hermaphroditism in subsequent generations as it also increases the female to male ratio in its progeny.)

(These are the Male's used through out the life of the origional haze and the mystery of it.)

It explains about bad and good haze I believe.."

Why would this pollen be any different?

I just dont see the problem, maybe I am reading this wrong?

oh interesting. Its super rare to happen and dj claims its good? I may have won the lottery so the speak.

I bought some afghan kush landrace from world of seeds and all were males, I killed them all except one that was extra vigorous. Later I noticed female pistils coming out some of the ball sacks. I used pollen from this plant to pollinate a lemon og from dnagenetics. It definitely wasn't sterile, it made me lots of seeds.

I was wondering while I seen this if you let the male pollinate itself, would you get masculinized seeds (ones guaranteed to be male? lol )

Males have x and y. Making super males is something no one has claimed to have done. No one.
