The kid I guess got some "GSC" before and told her that his wasn't purple. More than likely what he got was local grown from seed, and with all the banks that sell "cookies", who knows what it actually was.

When I walked away from my old man, I left 3 pheno's of Cali Connects GSC(bought the seeds before I got the cut's I have now) behind with him. Even after explaining to my old man, that they weren't "real GSC" , he still sold it as that anyway's. Plus he's been selling clones of those seed pheno's for ther last three years. So I'm sure other locals are growing them, and don't know any better than to call it GSC.


One sad thing about where I live, is people are extremely ignorant to the current canna scene. They believe everything they read on the internet and in High Times.

East coast market is irritating to say the least. They think it's the strain name that makes quality. Like just because it's called gsc stuff from different growers should all be the same. Every garden and every grower has a different expression. 2 different strains of mine grown side by side in a greenhouse at 2500 ft in a greenhouse sometimes are more similar then 2 of the same strains grown in different gardens.

Not to mention the different seed versions of everything going around that hardly resemble originals. All the blatant renaming.

You know 3 years ago, when cali light depp hit the East coast, it was being called indoor. Now that some of them actually think they know what light depp is, i see nice outdoors being called light depp! Like guys back East still think they are getting light depp this time of year. Depps are so old at this point.

Even in the midwest in illegal states mostly cali bunk, years ago good shipments kept you coming back hoping for fire but now its just rare. I grow my own now and haven't had much luck finding something really good worth keeping from seed still often better than the stuff from cali though.

Nobody in my area gives a fuck about the strain name. They think they are stupid. They want mids more than high test too because they are frugal. Most don't pay for IPAs either. They like their inexpensive beers.

I have enough clients that will pay for the high test though. The frugal folks come around when things are dry or holidays like July 4th and Christmas and New Years.

most of my people are all over 50 & want the good shit & are tired of mids or bunk weed . names don't mean anything to them either , just bag appeal & the stone . if it looks great , stinks & gets them ripped .... they're very happy !!!

Last years cali outdoor is the new mids. I see guys from out of town coming to cali and buying truck loads for less then 400 a pack.

I'm not a fan of the gelato. And definitely not the sherbet. I think it's just marketing hype. Hyped by berner and the rest of the cookies guys.
The cookies and the cherry pie somewhat lived up to the hype. Kept those, but i tossed the gelato and sherbet after a few runs.
