Family life and Cannabis

Hello fellows cannabis medical users, smokers, growers, breeders, freedom fighters, all Cannabis activists and martyrs,

A humble thread to talk about an important subject, the subject of family life, marriage, children, and Cannabis.

The majority of us are living in a country or a state where growing and using Cannabis is illegal and im sure this illegality is often and maybe even always an obstacle to build a family life with a women, a mariage and to have children.

I was a married man, i have children and im a Cannabis defender till my death because i like to use Cannabis and i don't feel i have to apologize or justify. im a free mind and every man should have the right to grow and use Cannabis freely. no deferred sentence of emprisonment or prison sentence will change my mind, it just delays my capacity to interact with Cannabis and make me more determined.

Im a father, im a grower, im a runner, im a cooker and so many other things but im not a criminal...

As a man i like women and i always needed one to love in my life. i always wished to live with a women i love, make children with her and raise them together. I always thought and still think a child need to have his father as much as his mother in his life for his well-being.

But... i never really found a women who accept my commitment with Cannabis so to make a long story short recently i divorced. nevertheless life goes on, thats not what i wished for my two young children but i can't quit growing and using Cannabis and my relation with her mother was in a dead end. Im not the kind of person who think about divorce lightly, i strongly believed in mariage, but now...
Someone will tell me i should have thought better before i get engaged but when you're in love, you're in love...

Of course i love my children and i don't abandon them. i wish they could live in a free world with a free mind and the respect of all the differences in this world. Human diversity is a strength.

Well all these words to reach the idea that its not easy to find a women who accept a man who grow and use Cannabis even if this man don't grow where the children live, in a country where Cannabis is illegal of course. In my philosophy of life i should not have to choose between a family life and Cannabis.

Almost every progress, social or other progress has been made by people who were fighting obsolete backward mentality and im sure these evolution fighters had family. We all deserve to be considered like normal people and not criminal whether its from government or women.

I guess you had a choice between weed and your kids. You made your choice and now you will have to live with it.

Myself, I gave up weed and motorcycles when my kid was growing up, even though I liked them both a lot. But I loved my child more so it was not much of a sacrafice for me to give them up.

Now my kid is grown up and on her own and I have a motorcycle and ganja again.

Alas, Gizmo, love has no boundaries.

When we had kids, we never smoked around them, but sought refuge in the garage or on hikes, away from the kiddos -we're talking late 70's, early-mid 80's.

When growing indoors, we partnered with someone living a solo life, then guerilla.

Choices and questions prior to being involved.

Well i understand you, i didn't really make a choice, i see my kids and will educate them as i want but i could not stay with a women who did not agree with me on Cannabis. What i meaned is we should never have to make a choice and women who accept to do a family life with Cannabis growers are rare and its really a shame.

aribud when you say love has no boundaries what do you mean ?

you know im born in the 80's and i never smoked around my kids too, never grown in the house where they lived too but my ex wife became slowly against Cannabis. she dont agree about smoking and is against selfmedicalization and because she was not sure of the benefit of Cannabis as medecine too. people change, and kids change everything.

Changing who you really are just because you have children is only teaching them that there is actually something "wrong" with what you are doing. And perpetuating the stigma for future generations. There are many ways to follow your path whilst still being respectful and responsible of others well being and health!

exactly, well said, i agree 200%, we do nothing wrong or immoral, we are not criminals. Our children must know the truth as soon as they can understand that we do nothing wrong and that Cannabis is just a plant. teaching our children the respect of others is far more important than immoral human laws about Cannabis and i prefer to teach them that the alcohol and the tobacco sold by our government kills millions of people. Cannabis makes tou happy, it relieves your pain when you have one and its seems we are pretty sure it helps to fight cancer tumors. We cant say the same things about alcohol and tobacco.

If a law is immoral, its a right to break this law, we could even say its a duty.
