New order arrived :-)

I wanted to pull the trigger on some of the blueberry crosses before they were gone for good. I've never seen anything labeled as Burmese in my local market, so I hope it's something different and special. It's kind of fun not knowing what to expect. That same excitement led me to the Dolce Sativa. One of the advertisements mentioned it being somewhat unstable. Can't wait to explore a bit.

The Schnazzle #2 doubled in price since Chimera announced they were running low. The only place that had them was the seed boutique. Obviously I was happy to pay the new price since Chi offers his beans for next to nothing anyways. I like my Schnazz pheno @ 70 days, but that is outside of the advertised window, so I'm hoping to find something similar or better that finishes in 55-60 days. The one that hermed out had a good smell and would have been done in 60 or less, but it started looking a bit weird once it got pollinated. The African jack is sure to be different than what the mainstream has to offer.

I won't be popping anything right away, but I was excited to get em in. The karma, and archive, and the fighting buddha showed up a few weeks back. I ordered from four places, but the seed boutique envelope was burried under some mail so I didn't send it until 2 weeks ago roughly. Just got them in yesterday.

You're going to enjoy those ST... The Fighting Buddha is top notch! Maybe not as hardcore as the dolce but very very nice. I know several people who are fans of that line.

Looks as if you're going to have your hands full. Looking forward to seeing more..

I'd say Chimera's descriptions are accurate. All if his crosses seem to have a specific purpose in mind. I think he probably has like a million females to chose from, so potency won't be a problem with most. Even Jack line had some nice potent plants, though most were upper medium, I'd say. He advertises Jack as not having knockdown potency, but a nice clear all day smoke. It's easy to make potent pot, but interesting pot is a little more tricky.

I ordered the blueberry lines because I've got plenty of knockdown cultivars, and I'm searching for something to just make me happy. The Schnazz pheno I kept is quite potent, though the other showed more BB and was mediocre potency at best, a typical unimpressive BB throwback. I expect anything crossed to BB to have some bad plants, but two females wasn't much to go on, so I gave it another chance. I trust that Chimera was probably getting a far better ratio of nice plants to not so nice ones, before he chose which seeds to release.

My take on BB and Jack lines is, that both are medium potency, feel good strains. They cross well so there will be good input from the mother, as well as the father. This means, if you want super potent plants, make sure it is 'super potent female x Jack, etc. Maybe try the special K, BCog, etc, and stay away from stuff like grapefruit, mental floss, etc. Go for the latter if you like grinner, feel good types. Pine or schnazz for insomnia.

One of my MK xjack got tested @26% and I'd say it's respectably stoney, but the high is clear so it feels like 18℅. This means good pain relief, without being a zombie. If you want to be a zombie maybe don't get the Mk, though I like it and kept 2 phenos. Strains with foggy highs leave me feeling more fucked up, some people might construe this as potency, maybe it is.

I guess after the long winded response, I should also mention that potency is relative to the consumer. I'm surrounded by killer herb here in SoCal, and I've been growing for quite a few years, so I'm basically a pot snob, and very picky. If you don't live in Cali, Colorado, BC, etc, any of Chimera's strains will be mind blowing potency. Also, a touch of strong sativa will have me freaking out like cheech when he smoked the Labrador. I just can't handle it well. While others just smile and enjoy, I'm gripping my chair, with heart pounding, sweating and shit.

I like that Chimera's library of strains is fairly complete. There seems to be a little something for everyone. Good luck:-)

Thanks Kal, I'm really excited about the fighting Buddha as well. When I was a teenager in the 90's, flipping through Mark Emery's catalogue, is the first time I saw 'Burmese Kush'. We were getting 'Hindu kush' at the time consistently, and I had never seen 'Kush' before that really, just pictures of Master Kush in High Times magazine. For some reason this name stuck in my head and for years I thought Burmese was kush.I thought, "One day I'll grow it, and see what Canadian Kush is all about." I didn't have the internet until 2001, so I was uninformed, and and unaware that Burmese was a Sativa. "Wtf", I thought to myself while deciding on another selection of seeds to order. Things have changed since then, and now I'm only a watered down Kush head. Now I smoke maybe 35-50% kush, and mix in many others throughout the day.

First and foremost, I need knock down potency wide leaf cultivars for medical purposes. Now that I've got some heavy hitters, and it's easy for just about anyone to track down strains like Bubba kush, etc, I'm on the search for something exotic, and different, and pleasurable in ways that I've not yet experienced.

Potency is not on the top of the list right now, which is a first for me. I think cannabis will eventually become like wine, with most people favoring low-medium potency smoke that makes them smile. Right now because it is still very expensive, most people are searching for the most bang for their buck, and want an immediate head change. The market is flooded with moonshine and whisky, and when it's more than just outlaws growing it, the flavors will change.
That being said, I'm sure the Fighting Buddha will be respectably potent, but I'm not expecting for my head to sweat like when I smoke ecsd. Hopefully I can relax and enjoy the ride

Of course blueberry is familiar, but I really have no idea what to expect from the Burmese. I've not ever seen one Burmese label on a jar in any of the numerous dispensaries I've been to, though I must admit I haven't been into one for several years now. I'm very excited-)
