I tend to agree with you JV,
i recall the quote "we dont want anyone having to play pharmacist" so they dont want to put medicating oneself in our own hands , cause thats dangerous apparently... I cant see why they dont realize that if they are giving that stuff to kids for medicine , then its safe stuff and anyone should be able to use it ... At least a foot in the door is better than nothing , hopefully they will ease up on recreational use until they finally realize they must allow it, bet that takes some time though ... |

J.V. "It's definitely a step in the right direction..."
Donald Mallard "At least a foot in the door is better than nothing..." Exactly! After years of nothing, finally, there is a glimmer of hope, something positive to focus on. |

How much do you want to bet this has something to do with the company on Norfolk pushing for it?

It sounds more like they will monopolise the growing of MMJ.
AusCann seeks to become a licensed producer supplying the global industry & local markets when legislation permits in Australia & other jurisdictions. They plan to start growing in November and apparently already sold their first harvest to Canada. |

Australia is full of monopolies,
i cant blame u for thinking cannabis will be another one , for sure its gonna be , thats why they want to keep folks from growing it themself .. |

Hadn't heard that story (had to google it) Norfolk people must be already growing their own. In my travels around Aus., I've found that in many small isolated communities, the local constabulary turn a blind to our medicine. If I were a cop, I'd much prefer to see the locals high on pot than drunk on Bundaberg rum (If you've ever consumed too much Bundy you'll know what I'm talking about! haha) Aussies really have Lucy Haslam, whose son Dan found great relief from mmj for bowel cancer, to thank for her continued efforts . Lucy, her husband (a cop!) & Dan met many politicians including the NSW Premier, Mike Baird, who's been really affected by Dans very dignified fight against a horrible disease. Vale Dan Haslam, R.I.P. |

Bubbleblower, Donald Mallard. Yep, it's the new battleground - who gets to grow the medicine?
The greedy are rubbing their hands together as we speak, wondering how much it'll cost to bribe ....er ..... 'contribute to party funds', to get a monopoly. Lucy Haslam has been the straw that finally broke the politicians backs on this issue. She's pushing hard for the right to grow our own & for licensed growers for those who are unable to grow themselves. Lucy really is our ray of hope (never underestimate the power of a mothers love) She really does have the politicians ears, especially Mike Baird. While she's in the fight, there's plenty to hope for : ) |
