Extraction fan
I have seen a few images where the extraction fan is fitted outside of the tent, either to the side on a stand or on the top of the tent sock with the filter hanging vertically inside.
I am trying to weigh up the pros n cons. Pros, more space inside the tent in the headroom department.....Possibly quieter due to resting on to the top of the tent thus cushioning vibration noise. Cons....depending on size of fan excess weight stress for the top of the tent.....Some fans may get warm (slight concern) Using a stand increases the amount of space required for such a set up. Any more? Any of you lads/lass's mount the extraction outside of the tent? Cheers in advance as always.

my extraction fan is in another room mate, helps keep temps and humidity steady for me... it's a box fan on the end of 5m of sonoduct...on the exhaust side it's plumbed into the chimney..

It is more of a personal preference/ dependent upon structural constraints. Good Luck!
