Germ Issues
Never had a problem ever with either seedbay or seed Boutique......I have had problems with my last 3 orders....These beans ain't popping...and if they do show a small white tail...they all end up dying.....Been doing this forever...never had a problem ever....I ended up taking seeds out from the Refrigerator...Seeds from 2003-2004....dropped them in a cup with some RO water, and in 3 days nearly every 1 popped...so....it couldn't possibly be the Age of the seeds...Maybe the seeds were not refrigerated the whole time I don't know....All these seeds came from Seed Boutique None from seedbay.
Anybody else???...So far the list includes 1.Chimera C-4 1 out of 7 2.Female Seeds White Widow..0 out of 8 3.MR. Nice Ortega 2 out of 9 Not Complaining And Don't want any Free Seeds .....Just wondering if anybody else is having Germ Issues the last 18 months or so with Seed Boutique...Thanks |

Sounds like old gear. I'm thinking breeders need to put the date beans were harvested on breeder packs.

I bought Female seeds White Widow from Seeds Boutique last year and started them in May of this year, 3 out 4 germinated.

I havent popped any older beans from them lately, but all of the orders I have made in the last two years have had 90%+ germ rate. And that is for over 100 beans. Only ones i had problems with were some freebies....so who cares?!
I have found before that when there are temp fluctuations after tap root is exposed, the shell can partially tighten back up like a clam and pinch the root... Got to keep em warm but not cooking... Last edited by Xray Kimono; 08-25-2015 at 11:08 PM.. |

Wow man I would be pissed. I have no experience with seedbay yet got some relentless on the way but that is new stock. I know I won't risk buying anything I know isn't in a recent drop.
Not worth it to me. Sorry Monty bout your luck man. Live and learn is all we can do. |

really they need to big time so grower knows I lately have gone with newer strains like DNA limited last year cuase they were sorta new and all poped so think this might be good rule of thumb when buying seeds try and stay towards the newer stock like if it was out of stock last time u checked u know what I mean

I have never had problems but admit I haven't germinated anything in a while (last October maybe?). I think chemdawg IBL or something like that had worse than normal germ, but as I usually get 90-100%, and got maybe 80 that time, not too big a deal. Of course some were runts and some males and few ended up healthy females and I think I managed to kill or severely restrict those But yeah not a problem mostly.
