I just soaked the soil good poked a hole and 3 days later they were popping above ground.

The paper towel method is just an extra step that isn't needed.

The soaking in water isn't needed either but it does seem to help them germinate faster.

three days soak is a bit much .. assuming you're in a new location, h2o2 is probably the best recourse, as you may have insect or fungal vectors you didn't have before.

eg. if fungus gnats have never been a problem, you might not notice them around your soil, but i can guarantee that you may only see like one and they've got maggots eating all the root cilia.

if your medium is unfamiliar, germing out of the medium is a good idea so you can at least observe the health of the seed and take viability out of your variables. i like to germ in a little screw top jar of perlite - the water level (after 24h soak) stays below the seed, and if the radical grows into the perlite, you don't have to peel it off like paper towel.

look for insects and do a soil autopsy to see if you've got mold shit growing all over where the seed was.

This is what I do and nearly always I have little tap roots within 48hrs or the seed would have cracked open at least.

I think the key to this method is having the glass of water somewhere warm, like 25 degrees is best.

Good luck and sorry to hear of your losses, personally I have germinated 20 odd beans from this particular vendor (FemaleSeeds)this year alone and not had a single seed to not germinate yet.

Orange Kush from another vendor is a different story!

95 % germination rate with distilt water on a piece of papertowel between two plates and then hide in a drawer(dark),
the 5 % non germination was tangerian dream from barneys..all 5 seeds :(

Oyea I have 15 real nice plants in flower I have 3 1K's in an 8 by 8 room so I'm short on plants.Since each Paradise 10 pak only yielded 2 of 10 or 1 of ten or 3 of ten or none of 10(like with a replacement pak of lucid bolt for white widow,you get the picture.I've got 5 or six strains with the 15 plants.O just don't know,they have always germinated before and I started growing their Paradise strains about 5 years ago.I damn sure kept 3 cuts from each girl except for two that were slow

dude, the solution is simple, buy your seeds elsewhere... you have BOG, Cannabiogen, Chimera, just to name a few, that sell fresh viable seeds of good quality.

Dropped Cat and all I appreciate the responses and the answer to the riddle eludes me.I mean 0 of 10 lucid bolt,its unheard of.I have 3 1K vertizontals so I'm only using two now.I still have the 3 nebula in veg,I've decided to really beanstalk them lol.I can pull my vertizontals tight to the pulley mounted to the 8 ft ceiling so I can grow some pretty biguns.I really hope this was a freak incident because like I said before,I love their strains.The only one that seemed a tad weak was Wappa,all the rest definitely in the 15-18% thc.
