Do autoflower require less nutrients?

Hey all I've been doing a bunch of reading because I am currently growing a autoflower and noticed it is very sensitive to nutrients at an early stage and they require less. Also throughout my reading I have discovered that many people state this as well. What is your take on all of this? And does this still hold true in coco because they have their cotelydons?

Yes very much so, but its not really an auto thing, more of a size thing, as autos are generally smaller than photos, with a much smaller rootzone, its obvious to feed it less, than any bigger plant, either photo or auto, see for yourself at harvest?
avoid feeding for the first 2 weeks of a seedling, as many seeds come with free food aboard?
good luck

Even in coco you shouldn't feed for 2 weeks?

With autoflowers, a perfect start is crucial to get a happy vigourous growing plant.

Depending on cultivar and substrate, feeding (N) can be and is advised to implement if needed, already from week 1.

Most autoflowers use week 1-4 to develop and set branches and bud sites and the time after that is production (filling of what is vegetative produced)

So a starving auto in its first week, can be devastating end-result wise.

Peace and happy days

Typically, autos don't need much N during veg stage, unless in hempy (perlite) environment where all needs feeding. Most newbie mistakes- over watering/over fertilizing are two main culprits of unsuccessful or lack luster performance/harvest..

Amp up on phos during budding.

Cannot speak to coco as we only grow in organic soil, which has all the necessary nutes.

There are thread posts on dwc/coco for autos....click around to find the info.

I thought transplanting autos was detrimental to their growth?

Always helpful to note autos are on a clock ...so anything that disrupts vegetative production , overnuting, transplanting, television adverts, even a cool night for 2-3 days will have detrimental effects on the auto flowering plants, yield wise
