1000 Hps v 600 HPS - Growroom Lighting - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

Hi all this is my first post here.

When you have one light per plant running 9 plants is their a big difference in using 1000 HPS or 600 HPS.

Heat is coursing me some problems but just a little

Or can I run more 600’s to get a better cover of light

my room is 4m x 4m x 3m high

Why would you want one light PER plant??? Seems like a bit of over kill....you could better optimize your grow I'd think...9000w per 9 plants....OR 5400w per 9 plants....waste of good lights and a TON of power($$$$$$)

How big are the plants? If you're doing a KFB setup, then nothing beats 1K's.

Definitely go with the 1k's...and get them closer to the plants. Depending on how many lights you have, you can hang them vertically between the plants for maximum side lighting.

I am going the other way on this one. Having 9, 600watt lights 12" or so above each plant is better than 6, 1000watt spread out. A 600 is great for this and saves a little.Boy I wish I had your problem lol. Just my thoughts.

Keep the 1ks, veg longer, hang vertical. Thats what I would do.

since we are all throwing out ideas. use 5 1000's to spread the light around, then 4 600's hung verticaly.
