If that doesn't solve it, you can pick up a cheap fan speed controller to turn it down a bit for reduced noise.

Cheap fan controller will make it buzz, better of getting a variac based controller
I always put a little bit of ducting between filter>fan don't know if this helps with noise but i assume it might |

hey mad lab....
you might want to use acoustic ducting,,,used in conjunction with your fan controller it should quiten it down considerably,,,,, an oversized boxed acoustic exhaust and acoustic ducting would work even better but just adding the acoustic duct should really help ,,,, a bit harder to work with but 8inch will be fine,,,,, peace and regards 944s2 |

sorry I wasn't aware you already had acoustic ducting
,,,,if after running it through the ducting you still think its too noisey and you cant use the controller on a lower speed you may have to put up with it until your can get a boxed acoustic but hoping it will quieten down once you have run it through the ducting,,,, best of luck,,,,,,s2 |
