Soulshine vs. Grapefruit - Chimera Genetics / Breeders Retail - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

What are the differences between the two effects-wise? Looking for euphoric/relaxing/anti-anxiety type of high with no crash/burnout. Thought Grapefruit famous for it but looks like Soulshine got it too? Are these cuts sisters? How do they compare in potency, flavor, yields, flowering time? Asking because both Grapefruit x SS and Soulshine x SS available, hard to choose between the two. Also Soulshine x Blueberry used to be available alongside with Grapefruit x Blueberry which still is..

Maybe there are better options from Chimera for what i am looking for?

It's a good question but one that would be quite hard to answer unless you know the cuts intimately. I've only grown the GF x BB but have the new Soulshine Jack & Block hybrids. I think the GF x BB certainly was a fun happy BLD but that was because BB has some of those high types as well. One might find with a different pollen donor the effect comes out completely differently.

The SS hybrids will certainly have an edge over the Jack / Blockhead hybrids in terms of zip.. Not sure how either of these would be if you wanted to just relax. I can see them being fun but not chilled.

The soulshine has been touted by Chi to have more stability and a better structure than the SPG with all else being pretty similar. Maybe the soulshine is a little more stony?? I think both are susceptible to mould as well.. (outdoors more so)

I would love more details as well since I'm a fan of SPG crosses and the soulshine hybrids will certainly be grown out by me at some point... Maybe they are close in parentage.. Maybe the DNA tells the story?

I've still got 8 seeds from a pack of SS x BB from 2008 or 9.

What I recall from back then was that Chimera said Soulshine was quit similar to Grapefruit but a better plant and that it came from a small selection of seeds that didn't turn out anything else that compared to the Soulshine.

I have grown out several of Chimera's offerings,I have 13 pcks to go...lol,Anyway the hashplant x sweetskunk is a very nice high,very social,makes people talk and feel motivated,it lets you down easy not crash....the other one that you would like is the African jack very euphoric buzz,relaxing,I find myself cleaning the house after a session...and seems to suppress my appetite...The others I have tried don't match what you want in a high..sorry I could not of been more help....Knuckles.

Yes sure Nirrity,Hightest x Sweet skunk,Bubbakush x Jack,Medina,both the bubba and medina I find will put you to sleep if over indulged.The hightest cross is a strong confusing high,followed by eating everthing in sight, then crashing hard.Forgot to mention the hashplant cross yields like a motherfucker,wow is all I can say!i have a grow here a couple of pages back.
