Female seed breeding?
I have a quick question maybe someone can answer. If I take a female plant (from feminized seed) and cross it with a male will it produce all female seeds.

Thanks for the quick answer. How exactly do you go about producing all female seeds?

Very good question indeed.
I would have to guess and think that a female plant could possibly produce a small amount of seeds but then again i dont know how it would without being pollunated. Im gonna hang around and catch the answer to this one.

I think there are a number of ways to do it. From what I understand basically you just have to get the plants to self pollinate. That can be done by letting the plants flower very long, stressing it, or I think there are even certain chemical mixes you can use.
They are definetly not good for breeders, only small growers who NEED to know they are getting females. Many people do not reccomend using these self pollinated seeds due to hermie issues and something about clogging the gene pool . I got yelled at the other day by Rez for askin about S1 seeds haha

you can use a Gibberelic acid that will induce flowers.
female seeds generally have a hermy tendancy, due to the fact the parent was hermy. Some breeders get better results, but the fact is there are tendancies to hermy and it's not worth the risk of pollenating your entire garden with them.....
