NPK question
hi All!
I read somewhere this: "When flowering you will need something with all the main nutes NPK. So 0-15-15 would pose a problem. For flowering I recommend a 15-40-15 or something about the same NPK levels." ---> I have a question: Which could be better for flowering? 1. PLAGRON Alga-bloom contains: 13% phosphor, 14% potash, 1.5% nitrogen, trace elements, vitamins, enzymes, growth hormones, ferments and more than 20 types of amino acids. or 2. CANNA Terra Flores (N-P-K: 10-9-19) What would you recommend? Thanx! NG |

Out of the 2 you have go with #2
NPK stands for N-Nitrogen, P-Phosphorus, and K-Potassium. During the flwering stage of the plant you want a fertilizer with a higher K-Potassium than during Vegetative growth. During veg you would want a fertilizer with a higher N-Nitrogen level. Start your plants in a balanced soil like Fox Farms Ocean Forest. I'm not sure what the exact NPK ratio is but it is balanced. During veg your plants will start using up the N-Nitrogen in the soil and will let you know when to feed with a high Nitrogen fertilizer like Seabird Guano 10-10-1. After a few weeks in flowering your plants will start to use up the unused Potassium still in the soil and will let you know to start feeding with a high K-Potassium fertilizer like Fox Farms Big Bloom 1-3-7. Both are organic fertilizers that are sure to make you happy. Good luck! |

big bloom is .1-.3-.7 . which is pretty low. i suggest a main fert like a bat quano and kelp for flowering with the boost of the fox farm big bloom

#1 PLAGRON Alga-bloom looks a lot better NPK for flowering.
Its NPK 1,5/13/14 will do great. |

Veg - 3-1-2
Flower - 1-3-2

How about veg and flower 2-1-2? Plants don't require alot of phosphorus to grow or bloom. More phosphorus will not increase blooming unless it was already deficient in the soil.

Both one and two have way too much N to be used alone in flower. Find something else.

Nope, I read it wrong because no one lists nitrogen as the last element.
