ive got a question for all the breeding pros and soon to be pros, when growing a seed run do you harvest the plants when the seeds are ripe around 40-45 days right from pollination correct me if im wrong please. i know it may differ strain to strain , i pollinated my room at day 7 a few different strains that i hit with my prized stud. they all have different flower times if i was growing for resin one is close to 11 weeker would you pull the plants down when seeds are mature or wait the full normal flower cycle? thanks in advance

I let my females mature to the point that they are about 6 weeks from finishing their flower run before pollenation.

How many pistils were present on the plants you pollenated?
Day 7 seems a lil early for pollen to me, unless you were going to hit the ladies a couple more times.

If you don't want for your plants to finish their flower cycles you don't have to. I try to allow a minimum of 6 weeks from pollenation to harvest seed. This ensures a lot more mature seed to develop, imo.

may have been around 10 days i was real busy and forgot to mark it on the calendar , they all had quite a few pistils at this point flowering was starting to develope fast and i only wanted a couple hundred beans offf each cross to work on inproving the lines atm i have no need for thousands of seeds ,i find it very rewarding making my own crosses ,i usually pollinate certain branches and mark them but this time i took my stud and danced him around the garden and it looks like all 12 plants were successfully pollinated ,they are frosty as hell i can see the seeds poppin out of the tops and almost all hairs have turned orange to brownish orange, id check the trichs but my battery in my scope died

I find 5 weeks from pollentation works well for the lower larf. Prolly 6 if your doing tops... weird how tops take longer to make seed...

Pollinate at 21&32 days harvest 6 weeks from 32 days. The seeds will not overripe not if that's what your asking? They will just fall from the buds!

ripe seeds galore, i usually like to go around 40-45 days to ripen depending on the strain im workin with i try and time it to have the best resin and most seeds, just had a few unplanned problems this round
