I have some seedling destroyers coming up. Did you create F2s?
I tried, but the Destroyer male was sterile. I made these seeds using Destroyer: Destroyer A x Highland Mexican (Highland Guerrero x Blueberry Destroyer B x Highland Mexican Destroyer B x (Destroyer A x Highland Mexican) Destroyer A x Highland Mexican ~ f2 Destroyer A x Pakistani Chitral Kush Last edited by satva; 06-25-2015 at 03:10 AM.. |

Hola porn,
I've found three Destroyer pheno-types - all good. 1) Thai dominate, 2) Mexican/Colombian/Thai dominate 3) Mexican Red Hair dominate in a f2 using #2 as the mother. I like the high from #3 Red Hair better than the mother #2. I haven't tested plants from seeds of the Thai dominate mother. |

Wow after reading through this thread I'm both relieved and psyched.
I have a destroyer on week 12 and it does not look close. It is a large plant with huge colas. @satva...what lighting schedule did you use? |

I use 14 /10 in late vegetation, then 12/12 in early flowering- 11/13 in mid-flowering and 10/14 in late flowering. |

This plant still looks like it needs 3-4 weeks. Does that make sense?
For Destroyer today is 14 weeks 1 day. The buds are plentiful but dont have a seriously dank look to em. The are fragrant but nothing crazy, a lil skunky a lil citrus and another note not easy to pin down. One weird thing did occur with this plant. Week 10 I was on vacay and my lights screwed up and were off for just about the whole week. They were getting straight water through blumats at that time. When i got back and discovered the situation i looked over all the plants carefully. They looked just like when I left them! |

neverforget420, your Destroyer has good flower structure. Most Destroyer pheno-types are not fragrant in flower and benefit from a long cure + 3 months. From the picture your pheno-type could go+ 17 weeks. The genetics are long flowering sativas from Thailand, Mexico and Colombia. Destroyer has lots of pheno-types ranging from wispy calyxes on a stick to good sativa flowering structure.
The trichones coloration theories > clear to amber, harvest with some amber are not always accurate in a pure sativa. I suggest a staggered harvest harvest some lower flowers in a couple of weeks, and smoke test after a quick cure. Harvest early for a clearer energetic high and later for a more complex and less energetic high. In general the Thai pheno-types are very, clear, energetic and cerebral. Your Destroyer has some Mexican genetics which typically have a more feel good content feeling. I'm growing Punto Rojo Colombian and Colombian Gold and both have very wispy flowering structure. I'm harvesting and smoke testing a Colombian Gold, which has a high clear, cerebral high similar to Thailand genetics. The Colombian Gold is approaching 20 weeks, with clear resin glands and a few white pistils on the flowers, but the plant's growth has stopped except for resin production which is still increasing. I typically harvest tropical sativas after the plant stops producing white hairs and with some amber resin glands. Destroyer pheno-types should be clearer and more spacious than Golden Tiger. I've read that the high from Ace's Malwai is strong and dense compared to a the high from Thailand, Mexican and Colombian genetics. I grew up smoking Thai, Mexican, and Colombian strains which is what I know and like to smoke. I can't say what you'll like, but I'd put Destroyer in flower, and either keep clones or lightly seed a lower branch of each female. You can plant seeds from the Destroyer pheno-types you like. The combination of Thai, Mexican, Colombian genetics are dominate in haze and skunk. Not too many breeders have been able to stabilize pure Thailand genetics for indoor growing. In terms of a pure sativa high, Destroyer can be a level under Haze and a step above Skunk #1. Skunk #1 Colombian Gold / Afghani x Acapulco Gold. SamS notes 1970's Haze as mostly Punto Rojo from three regions of Colombia. If your looking to experience a Mexican Sativa/Haze, Destroyer's 1960 Mexican/ Colombian is as good as it gets, Chimera's 1973 Highland Guerrero in Highland Mexican are two of the best Mexican hazes that I know. I'm growing SamS Haze/Skunk x Haze Skunk. Basically SamS said he crossed Acapuclo Gold male to two Haze females. Last edited by satva; 11-09-2015 at 04:49 PM.. |
