I cant get this out of my head, sitting infront of another marijuana growers web site..

Everything we worked for is gone. So many of us dedicated our lives to Overgrow. We got older sitting indoors, infront of a computer, while the sun was bright and the day beautiful. We sat patiently, typing, piecing together a informational work of art so others can learn.
A nice chunk of our lives has been deleted.
We worked so f**king hard, so much information... gone.

Right now I am living in fear. During this pivot point in my life, after half a year in a third world country being a homelss wandering bum, I came to the conclusion that I want to be a Professional Marijauna grower.
Yet as the chillum was passed my way, I was informed by another traveler that overgrow is gone. At this point all my hopes and dreams were burned to the ground, the charas became less tasteful, and I was floored with sadness.

ICM has many OG members looking for another home, and I cant help to feel like we are all ants trying to relentlessly build another ant hill under the foot of an evil child. Seemingly inevitable that ICM will one day face the same fate as our beloved OG.
We had so much invested in overgrow, some of us wrote more than a books worth! Im one of those people.
We tusted OG to hold our journals, our sacred information, everything was there when we needed it. There is so much I want back. So much writing and time gone forever....

I could have been at the beach, or on my bike, or in the mountians, walking the dog, enjoying nature and life. Instead I sat down and typed.

I want it all back, I want to build it again. But how can I trust another website? How can I feel safe about putting in hours of work, every day, into another website... How can I be sure that ICM wont loose all of my information one day...

Who ever promised Rose Gardens?
Yes it's possible IC could go away.
You might feel like this is OG trying rebuild, But we don't!
We don't want this to BE OG, It's ICMag.
Staying indoors was your choice man. If you feel it was wasted I'm sorry. But thats the crumbling cookie for you.
Get once and awhile, your out look might improve.

What are the differences that keep this site alive while OG is burried...

What does ICMag do differently to keep it self alive?

Anyway I look foward to learning a lot, good to see some OG friends around too, and very soon I hope to contribute everything I know to help free the herb.

We don't have 100,000 members 1/4 of which where 2nd handles to go flaming with. We Bin TRASH Threads, Ban Unruly Members, and generally LIKE EACH OTHER!

OG Burned due to one person, it almost killed IC too. Infact I don't think IC is out of the dark woods yet...we could still get axed. There are forces out there that want total control. Legal Issues, Money to pay the Bills. Sites like IC and OG are not cheap to keep open.

It is a shame to see all the good info at OG gone. But thats life.
I hope you and others find your old chums and make new ones here at IC.
But Please understand, this is not and we do not wish to be a carbon copy of OG.
Are we more reliable? How so? In what way? In that we will be here tomarrow? Or in the Info that is passed out? I'm unclear about what you mean. How ever we are like any other site with some Very Good and some Not so Good Info.... as far as being here tomarrow.... let us hope so.

Ogers that have come here have added greatly to ICMag and are welcome.
We doubled our membership in the weeks after OG went down.
from about 4500 to 10,000, lots of Old Timers felt pushed out of our home.
But Change is normal and good, so I wont say what happened to IC is Bad.
ICMag will never be what it was, in some ways ICMag died too.
It's gotten better over the past few months since the PROBLEM.
It's just different, and we Old Tyme ICers have to deal with that.

I guess it is like when you have something stolen from you like my landscape machines out of the back of my truck. You can only go out and replace the items and move on.

Well, I see your point man, and I agree it is sad. BUT, dont look at it like a total loss. For me, well I learned enough from OG to well, be able to anytime I really want, (given all the conditions are good) grow anytime I want. The info I gained from OG & CW will always be remembered by me. No matter how many I burn or how many beers I consume. Nope, you give me some good soil water & paper towles, and I'll get you some vegitation IME learning about growing the best way is to grow, so yes, you are correct, countless ammounts of info have been lost (allthough I wonder if anyone could ever get there hands on some of the hdd's that were in the servers) one thing has not. Life, life for new experince and learning to come from, as well as things to be remembered.

Fret not my internet friend, for times will change along with the world, I predict a day when the economy collapses, maybe then, jsut maybe our government wil lhave more important hings to worry about than a coupel of platns in your backwayrd. and who the fuck your telling so they can do the same. Ok im done goodbye.
