battery power floros?

Well first let me explain...

I want to keep some clones happy for a long weekend (not this one) over which I will not be able to plug a lamp in or have them sitting in a sunny area.
They must be quiet, secure, and outta sight.

what I was thinking was a small lockable tool box type thing and then take one or two of those battery operated floro strips they sell for closets w/o power.

Since they'll be just freshly cut clones I'm not worried about exhanging the air around them so I'm hoping to avoid active ventilation (fans).

So whadda ya think can it be done?

my two biggest concerns are;

the lamp will heat the interior of the box and fry my clones

the lamp will run out of battery power too quickly

Would this be a job better handled by LED lighting? and if so where do I get LED's for this kinda thing?
