Mid july update.

Things are going well, AFs are flowering on schedule, one is surprisingly frosty already. Not much smell from them by air, but resin smells very nicely and when developed, they will be delicious I think. Got some bittery/lemony/soap/fuel smell, the two healthy plants definitely have differences in smell.
The semi-autos lost their beer scent and are very near to start flowering. Branches are growing nicely, overall they will probably be well rounded, not so stretched in structure as I expected.
Waiting for proper flowers and hairs to appear, maybe in 10 days.

Semi-AutoFlowers

There is some mite damage on the leaves but the scary thing is there seems to be an incoming infestation of caterpillars, hopefully they will leave my plants alone.
The heat wave will persist for a week or more, temps are reaching 35°C on regular basis and there is no sign of a cooldown nowhere near.
I fed them with a rich mixture of organic materials(compost 3-3-3, Bloom 6-14-10, aminoacids+vitamins, mycos and a bit of molasses), probably the only feeding for the AFs and there will be some more for SAFs in august.

Cheers

Text update for now, pictures are coming later in the day or tomorrow.

I almost got busted as there were some hunters with dogs near my place and the dogs felt my smell I guess, but thankfully the hunters decided it's probably nothing They went on their way and calmed the dogs as I was laying still like a rock on the ground, sweating like a pig

Yes, guerrilla is dangerous and the heat wave doesn't help, it's still very hot with very high humidity. Today is the 20th day in a row with above 32°C and absolutely no rain in these parts, but it's coming very soon.
The plants are doing fine, there was minor damage done by caterpillars, nothing to worry it seems.
Autoflowers are packing the frost and look delicious, the smell is getting stronger, it developed in a fine-sweet-lemon-soap-with-berries smell, still some difference between the two healthy AF phenos, I prefer the more lemony fresh one, the other has more berries in the mix.

The semi-autos are all confirmed females, they started to throw preflowers and developed in a nice shape, can't wait for proper flowering to start!

I sprayed them with pyrethrine again, there is always some new mite damage on the leaves but again nothing serious.
AFs got their final bloom mix of nutrient tea, I hope it helps them pack up as much weight possible. They won't yield much really(hoping for 50g total) but I expect a very good product
Also the flowering looks pretty fast and there were already some brown stigmas. Maybe they will be harvested in mid august, but maybe I'll let them go full ripe and wait for 4 more weeks at least.

All is going according to plan but I was already thinking of next season options

I'll be back with some pictures later, cheers.

Time for pictures

Autoflowers blueruder haze X LBH early haze@day 67

Bottom bud

Semi-autoflowers GG x Eribei(Eirdbei?) x AutoHaze2

Still no proper start of flowering for semi-autos but we're there almost, I'll have to follow a bit the flowering progress of AFs because they seem to go very fast and look like being 2-3 weeks from finishing. They got the last feeding, algaBloom 5-13-12 with molasses and aminoacids. Maybe it was not really needed but I couldn't stop myself.

The heat wave seems to be ending, better weather is coming finally. Some rain will help.

Cheers

Hey Joe
I'm very happy with my results so far, got an impression the semi-autos would start flowering earlier but they like to take their time it seems. No fuss.

Glad to hear yours are flowering for a month, should be near half way thru.
Got some pictures bro?

I'm missing updates from other testers, everyone seems to be on vacation

Take care

Good to hear bro, there seem to be quite a few early flowering plants around this season.
I suggest you go check your ladies and make some nice pictures
Early flowering is my favorite part of c. plant life.

Thinking ahead...Do you dry outdoors also?

Cheers

This other plots are up north..just where the Alps starts.I'm from the south..so next week if all goes as planed I'll go.
About drying I'm not really sure yet how and where..what is your plan bro?
btw
This is my first time growing..ever..for someone who smokes as I do it's really crazy that I didnt start growing years ago..a lot of money wasted..maybe too much though. This year I did a huge grow..all over the place..2-3 plants a plot..for next year i'll organize myself even better..because of ICM..and I realized that I love to grow this amazing plant..lets hope the best

Growing is addictive

I still haven't figured a truly good drying method for here, always way too much humidity in the air in october. Last thing I tried was a box with a water absorbing powder container in it, worked well for a small amount of buds. This time I'll buy a drying rack and figure out how to get rid of the moisture. I like to improvise.

Growing is the best thing you could do if you are a smoker. Lets you access to far more knowledge about the plant than just consuming it, usually without knowing nothing about the smoked product. Lets you access to variety of cannabis and helps you develop a taste, if one's into this.
Most people grow because of economic reasons and it's natural to do so.
I don't smoke a lot, thankfully, and didn't spend much on dope in my life but I know people who spent crazy amounts of money instead of growing their own plants.

Any smoker(person) should be able to grow a personal variety of plants to his own tastes and desires.

I'm still in search of my personal taste, I think I found at least two or three of the right directions to go.
