Make your own volcano - fraction of the price
Saw this on smokedot - looks very interesting. I might try it myself as I'm thinking of getting a Volcano for my grandma when I get the bubblehash done, but we really can't afford one.
Let me know what you guys think: https://www.smokedot.org/story/2004/5/4/9414/96034 You will still need a heat gun (Sears $100) and a bowl piece (V-Rip $40), but instead of using a bong, you simply inflate a turkey bag. Yes the same turkey bags manufactured by Reynolds, and available at any supermarket for $5. You don't need it, but I recommend getting an extra downstem ($5). This serves as a handle and mouthpiece. The downstem is good because it can get hot and makes it easier to pass, as well as use. If you get a downstem, simply use a rubber band to keep the bag attached to the stem. Once you get your setup going you will understand what I am talking about. But now you have a volcano for $150, versus $900, and if your heat gun fails simply take it back to Sears and get it exchanged. Try that at your local head shop and see what they do? It really cuts down on the time required to vaporize and it works really well in party situations as you can have multiple bags going at the same time. I have also nicknamed this the bagpipe method. For obvious reasons it is a bag pipe, as well as once you get good, you will learn to squeeze the bag with your arm just like a bagpipe player does. No water to mess with, and no glass to buy or break. So if you haven't tried vaporizing, there is no better time than now! Happy Vaporizing! --Kind Herb

If you have never tried the Volcano then you really should. I have tried every vaporizer that has come out in the last 5 years, everything from the BC vap to a homemade system just like that with the heat gun and bag and the volcano beats them all hands down. I guess I got hooked up on mine also cause I didnt pay $900 got mine for $525, did a search for them on e-bay and talked to the guy selling them, he gave me a discount because I bought 2 $1050 and that was with overnight to me. Now if you look at the website for the company that makes the volcano they offer a 3 year warranty on the volcano and they also offer a 30 day money back if you dont like it. Myself, I feel it's the best money I have spent, and so does my freind that bought the second one. I have not used ANYTHING else since I got it. If you can afford the volcano in anyway I say get it and forget about the other stuff. I'm placing a second order sometime this summer probably going to order 12 more of them cause the guy told me he would give me a even better discount at 12, just waiting for the other 11 friends to get there cash ready.

I would agree there... if you want to have something comparable to the Volcano... well you won't unless you buy a Volcano.
Personally, a sibling of mine had purchased on last year, and had to have it fixed... brought it back to the bong shop where it was bought SANS a receipt, they gave him a new one. The upside to your method is Yeah, theres a bag there to hold the vapor for you... but just running a heatgun into the bag is going to give you a lot of warmth in there. The volcano doesn't create any heat into the bag to speak of. Personally if I wasn't planning on spending the full amount to go balls out for a Volcano, I'd just buy a vriptech or whatever and say fuck it, especially if you're shelling out $150 minimum for that setup you explained. alot of people seem to like that bag, and heat gun method..
https://overgrow.com/edge/showthread....5&pagenumber=1 personally I love my volcano, and I think that method would be a HUGE hassle.. I guess it would be ok to use for the occasional vape, but if you are going to use it as your primary device, the volcano is well worth it.. and yes, if the volcano breaks, you got a 3 year warranty to get a brand new one.. they dont even try to fix.. just replace.. I need to break mine once the digi model comes out lol

so long as the temperature on the gun is maintained at I believe it was 375, it works just like the volcano except that bit more healthier do to the vap bowl being glass instead of metal. At least that was what I had heard Bubbleman telling some customers at The Melting Point, where if he hasnt already. last I heard he was planning on selling them. Only diff is I think he uses a Vapir gun, at least the one in the store. and i remember it was set at 375.
