Trim time, leaves? Melody, Special k, king, Nepalese, white lotus, Burmese x bb, .

Hi Chimera, I'll be starting these soon and was hoping for some info on the trim manicure process. Just looking for the basic generic answer on each if you have time. Fast and easy, regular speed, or long and slow? I want to grow them all but must limit my test space on the leafy types because I trim everything myself and even 3-4 kw of testers can take an extra week to trim. I average about 20 hours per kW on strains like Bubba and SoCal master, and about 6 hours on OG, chem, blue dream, etc. Most everything x Jack that I trimmed took 8 hours or less per kW. Thanks very much.

I would probably pass on the king cross, she's an old school HP that gets pretty leafy under some conditions. In Socal, I would stick to the others.

Given your previous runs of the Jack hybrids, I'm surprised you are choosing these lines to run. Aside from the FB, those are all half-sibs. You'd likely be much happier with the Hightest, or perhaps the Schnazz#3 in that particular market. The schnazz lines are similar on scent profile to a real Cali Trainwreck with the high terpinolene, and produce copious oil for extracts.

Thank you very much. The Hightest and Schnazz are on the list as well:-) I'm not sure which seeds I'll be popping, or when, but I figure having them on hand is the way to go. I smoke sativa a couple times a month maybe, so I had these in mind for the market, and the indica Jack for my brain, and back.

I chose more Jack because it's very smokeable weed, and I appreciate that:-) I have enough strains to satisfy the market for now, not a perfect selection, but good enough,. People are happy, I'm happy. I'm thinking in terms of my head. I have a preference for indica types, and now that I have room I'll doing a lot more r&d. I'm going to dedicate a kW to new beans, and I know it's not much, but @ four times a year, I'm hoping to find some special ladies.

The Jack Pine was very piney, and Jack seemed to have an influence, but did not dominate like some phenos of the other Jack crosses I grew. None were fruity at all. I was hoping to find some strong representations of the mothers, especially the Nepalese. Historically, I've had a preference for the squat, leafy, hashy, Afghan/indica/kush(?) types and I want to try new things. I'm hard headed, so if I find a leafy one I really like smoking, I'm liable to keep it around to share with others (production), so I just want to minimize that possibility. Also, another pineapple pheno like my special Medina lady is on my mind. Four and a half months after harvest and most everything tastes like wood, but this one Medina still smells and tastes like 45 day old herb. Schnazzleberry cured great as well.
