does anyone know of stores that sell black gold potting soil?

Where are you?
Black Gold is sold mostly on the US west coast. You might try Fox Farm Ocean Forest or better yet, make your own out of peat...

5 parts Canadian Spaghnam Peat or Coir or Pro-Moss
3 parts perlite
2 parts wormcastings or mushroom compost or home made compost
Powdered dolomite lime @ 2 tablespoons per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of the soiless mix.

thanks guys, BurnOne i'm on the gulf coast. they do sell ocean forest here in town i used it last year damb it so expensive. i just thought maybe black gold would be cheaper in price. you know what? i just might try your mixture BurnOne it looks like a good one.

Gulf Coast? Fla? If you are near tampa, go to Worms way its near the Tampa Tribune on 53d I believe. You can order Sunshine #2 from them or use Fox farms Ocean Forest. if you dont want to mix your own. Cost is near the same if you add up all the cost ingredents that you need. I just use Fox with big perlite and it works great.

At my hydro shop the fox farm is $12 a bag and the black gold is $20 a bag, so I dont think you'll find it cheaper.

two and a half hours south of Tampa, they have they fox farm ocean forest here at the Hydro Shop here in town. i guess i'll just go with it i've used it before and had really good results. thanks
