Title is incorrect. Learned 120 days later that the grow was a 400 watt not the 1000 watt my deepest apologies




Hey now everybody.
This will be my 3rd grow and 1st time with AutoFlowers and 1 k light with rail.
My previous grows were done in small rooms starting with bag seed, a 400w and stationery light.
This time around I will have a whole basement and a lot of outlets
The seeds
Blueberry Bliss Auto-5 Seeds
Auto Bomb-5 Seeds
Pineapple Express Auto-5 Seeds
Super Iced Grapefruit Feminized-1 Seed
Sleestack X Skunk Regular-1 Seed
Critical Feminized Autoflowering-1 Seed
Room is 9ft high 12ft long 10ft wide

First I needed to prep room (Finished walls and ceiling today)

Hi,
for today I only got to install the light rail and hang hood but excited to see it together. Everything went together quite easily but I will need to buy some rubber bushings to quiet the rail hum a bit.

How come your doing auto's mate? How come not photo's ?

I've always been intrigued with Autos for the ease of care (No transplanting, 2 rooms, 2 lights, 2 vents) I also like that the lights schedule will stay constant so electric bill stays normal. I can get only a few hours a day if that due to work so I have been working slow. I bought FFOF and perlite today. I still have to seal seams of the panda film and make the floor. Then I can germinate and plant seeds to start.

Finally had a few hours today. Installed floor, sealed all joints (hehe), moved ballast, rigged up hangers for light rail, then finished by lining up buckets (3 gallon). Going to mix soil tonight and start germination.

Why would you use a light rail? That looks so rickity to me.

It's actually quite sturdy and it keeps the slight hum from resonating to the structure. The light moves freely and rides back and forth with ease.

14 out of 18 have germinated, now sitting in final pots.
(Day 1 Germination)

u just don't want to have the light move too far.. or you will suffer in yields.. atleast I did for sure.. ig ot my best results from no more then 2.5feet of movement back and forth.. I actually only used 1 rail instead of both..

I have just one light rail and it is 6 feet long. I never heard of lower production with the use of rails. I figured as they grow keep the hood and at week 4 I would remove the hood to allow the cool tube to throw light everywhere so as the light moves there is still light coming from the sides. This is what the hood casts as a shadow.

Thank you. I feel like the room is a tennis court sometimes. It is so much bigger than any room I've used before and first time with full plastic. I like to walk in there with slippers, its very zen.
