Next BIG thing
In the UK it seems the Amnesia and Super Lemon Haze are the staple diet due to the bag appeal and commercial viability of the plants (i.e they root fast, need very little veg time, yield well and are potent by commercial standards).
What does everyone see as the replacements for these cuts? For a while i thought the Casey Jones would hold her place in this list but sadly shitty growers got their hands on the cut early and a lot people who tried that had a bad perception from then on. I have original seeds im gonna pop so maybe there will be a new lady to step into the arena. Im popping a few things soon to try to find something to fit these requirements, any thoughts or suggestions on what direction to go in flavour/terp profile wise? |

Hey true for me fruity strains seem to be the go to choice at,least up north anyway! i love casey and loads of ppl are still growing her, ide love to see another true canna casey cut or maybe hit your first cut with something else! casey,s a good all-rounder but ide like a little more stink from her. the slh sounds nice ive not come across that one yet, maybe do something with that if you have/can get it! either way im sure woteva you do will be some killa canna, cant wait to see/hear wot you come up with, atb with the project bro....

Whatever stinks in the bag still seems to rule the roost. To the non connoisseur at least. We still get a lot of the imitation cheese round here.

Seems colour seems to be a big selling point these days, quality purples are a sought after smoke it would appear.

Commercially, you get whatever people are outing cuts of!! Its really as simple as that.
When the SLH or Cheese snips are available in abundance, that is what you will see on the market. Ive seen a lot of g13hz, blue cheese, ssh, Chemdog, Exodus, Rhino, Jack, Nevilles, among others literally flood the place at any given time. Oh and the packet Amney's that come through in bulk every so often! But as big grows become less frequent or successful, and more hobby growers are selling their surpluses just to get by, the more variety I see from the people around me. I just finished a seed run looking for something different and special - I now have 5 different mums to run again, and Im in proces of selecting through another 30 or so little'uns as we speak! I think purples have a bad stigma in terms of potency traditionally in UK. While this may not be true across the board, I always hear the same reaction. I know there are some RD cuts about - Scotts and LPB i think. guarded to say the least! And I know that the ss/ww cut is tightly held by those in possession. As for next BIG THING, well im hoping its a 1:1 ratio highish cbd/thc strain. For all to benefit from! |

I thought Cookies would be the next big thing in the UK?
Shame to hear that CJ has a bad name at home :( I found it to be a heavy yielding, fairly fast and very high quality plant. |

The hazes are what commercial growers over here love because they are very productive and the end product is good too. Would be good to see something other than amnesia/SLH flood the market. I loved the casey too but I don't think that would ever be a winner to the masses
No idea what the replacements to these strains will be.. I'm searching though |
