Potency
I have grown some danish stuff like thyphoon and nepal and I was very disappointed with their potency, bud structure, it's like ditch weed, but with some sort of effect if you smoke a lot of that stuff. How about hfh potency? What is the best strain in terms of potency, nice buds and earlyness?

Esbe rules, keep Leb alive. Hash plant crosses are bound to be potent, but I feel Lebchunk is a great example of intelligent breeding.

If I want really good potent weed I grow outdoor strains and make hash its as good as anything you will ever get from a street dealer. Can't be arsed making hash I can sell my outdoor buds no problems and just buy indoor grown with the money its just like trading. Hash plant is good but it's even better as a cross and leb cheese it potent. I hear that the wild supers are potent but I can't say until I grow them this year. Danish gold is potent with a nice lemon taste.

@cidA, the wilds are a hell of a lot more potent than those ones, and get great credit from everyone, never read anything bad about them and ive read everything about every hfh strain on the net, researching my breeding this year and all the years after...
I will work with the wilds this year, and i think also Esben will do that as he feels they are the most suited for northern growing, n55 lat and up that is.. Under that, go for hp1/2, arnes cheese, the two rocket chunks that oregon breeding co, gives 8-8,5/10 in potency... ill be trying to to do hp2 able to be grown up here this year, as we need high potency/good high strains, we need more of them, but go for wild if your in scandinavia or over/around 55 or lower. Those hp/ac/rc are suited for 53 and under i think he reccomends.. last year my season went into november so could have grown them to fulfillness then, i hope fpr such a year again as i want to make an early hp2 without any outcrossing, might lose abit potency, as earliest m/f will be used, the 2-3 earliest,as i dont want to do 1+1 mating as this is my first year breeding and i dont know the strains more than whats on the net, so wont wanna lose some valuable traits i didnt see when making it earlier. |

It needs to be warm enough for the plant to grow. They don't need to be in a greenhouse for that, if you find a way to keep the roots warmer it'll work wonders too. Too much nutrients and especially nitrogen can also wreak havoc on your results... |

I think my mistake was overfeeding them with nitrogen. I grew them completely organic. The soil was a mix of chicken manure, bat guano, local soil and dolomite lime. Later on I fertilised them with nettle + horse manure tea and urine and I added lots of horse manure on top of my soil, so roots were warm and comfy. My plants survived a few frosts and grew further. On top of that there was no mould at all. But I think there was too much nitrogen, which delayed flowering. As for results I pulled about 22oz from a 1 square meter hole with early june start. Spot was like full day sun, except in the evening. There was about 10 plants in that hole. I lst'ed, supper cropped (this might have delayed flowering as well) them like crazy and in the end there was like 6-8 square meter coverage of green. Strains were thyphoon, nepal, mighty freeze, some sort of danish od mix and some other crosses with danish genetics. I pulled them on oct 8 lat 56. But they needed two three more weeks for sure. Most plants were very leafy. Uncured bud was weak. With a few months of cure effect improoved. If you smoked them without tolerance the effect was very great, nice sativa leaning energetic happy weed with a decent potency for the first time but next day you'll need few times as much weed to get a fraction of that effect. Great stuff for those who smokes rarely. But I think my mistake was that I overfed them on nitrogen. Flowering was delayed and I ended up with premature bud.
