The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), a government-run research institute with a budget of over $1 billion, has admitted that cannabis can kill certain cancer cells, and reduces the size of others.

A publication from NIDA, revised as of April 2015 and titled Drug Facts, states that “recent animal studies have shown that marijuana can kill certain cancer cells and reduce the size of others.” It notes that; “Evidence from one animal study suggests that extracts from whole-plant marijuana can shrink one of the most serious types of brain tumors”, and that; “Research in mice showed that these extracts, when used with radiation, increased the cancer-killing effects of the radiation.”

This publication is the first time NIDA has officially declared medical cannabis to have true medical value, and is directly contrary to the substances schedule 1 controlled substance status, meaning it has no known medical value.

This is really big! For a government agency, such as NIDA saying that cannabis kills cancer. WOW! I guess the cat is outta the bag now. No more denial that cannabis has "no medicinal value". It's just a matter of time now until the government (DEA) will have to move cannabis to at least Schedule 2. It's about fuckin' time! They have been lying about cannabis for over 70 years.

The hypocrisy is absurd...bunch of dirty crooks.

Don't think for one second they are moving forward with these matters for anything other than their own benefit. It isn't out of their kind hearted desire to help humanity...they didn't sudden grow a conscious...

No. They have lost the battle and control is slipping. They have to find some way to save face and in the process make adjustments to grab the reigns again.

That is ALL they are doing...DEREGULATION is the only answer. No schedule

Cannabis will be come the next poppy...wait and see.

that's not what we're looking for. we're looking for an article about marijuana reducing tumors. you're never gonna find it on the NIDA page. nida is the wing of the govt that says drugs are dangerous and alcohol and tobacco are good for a healthy diet.
