Highland Mexican seeds... are they legit?
Chimera
If you happen to read this I would appreciate a confirmation whether this is indeed official gear. They arrived today, came in a small manila sleeve that had a sticker with your new logo on it. They are relatively compact seeds with a bronze/golden color and partially mottled. Here's a picture of them next to a freebie pack of malberry mozambiquen poison. Also I would like to know if there are any particular suggestions on how to go about germinating them to increase the success rate. I have a home made mix of pro mix peat, perlite, vermicompost and dolomitic lime that I use to sprout veggies fruits and herbs with no problem. Should I just use just peat, perlite, lime and avoid the vermicompost? Should I pre soak in H2O2 solution? Should I just use the whole mix without worries. I think the castings lowered my germination rate last time around, I really want to try to have as many pull through as possible. Any advice is greatly appreciated. |

hey tropicanna,
first where did you get them?!?! I haven't seen them in stock anywhere for a while... and C did say to he knows exactly how many went out and to which retailers (from what I gather it wasn't many)... that would be the first and best way to verify them. other than that they look pretty much like what I remember my F1's looked like... as for germination it was like mid to late june last year and the seeds were already almost ten years old and i got 29/30 to break soil I lost one due to drying out later... but if they are from chimera they have been stored well and will sprout for sure... all I did was fill up a starter tray with some mild organic potting soil and watered. they grow really fast so be prepared... this growth was over the course of less than 2 weeks under T5's

Thanks for the response. I got them from Hemp Depot. They were listed as limited, and it had left me thinking the fact that I didn't see them listed on his vendor forum page or in his current offerings album. I hope they look just as amazing as those in your tray.

Got good feedback from others so must be legit from hd. Unless the man says they arent. Got some frankies jack from there. Weird thing was they were in the manilla. Thats it. No baggie or vial. Straight in the manilla which I found weird.... seed bou and bay at least packs it up in a baggie or vial....

The little manila sleeve did come inside a bubble wrap envelope corner that was closed with a staple, which seems to work fine as a protective cushion. I've ordered several times from them without issues, including in breeders packaging, these were advertised as coming in breeder packaging so I wanted to make sure because I am not sure what chimeras packaging should look like.I believe HD is a reputable 3rd party vendor, so if he confirms that they carried them I can rest reassured.
