Punto Rojo clones outdoors light cycle
Does any one know how many hours of sunshine is needed to keep punto rojo clones in veg and not switch to flowering?
I have 2 females from seed that as soon as I saw they were females i put them under 24 hr. light to switch them to veg. They have stopped showing any sign of flowering for a while now so two weeks ago i put them on 18/6 and today I put them on 15/9. I will have 13 hours of sunlight on may 1st. If they do switch to flower will they revege when the day gets longer? I also have some Malawi's and highland Mexican x blueberry I am wondering about. |

I say anything over 14 hours will probably keep most Pure Sativas in their vegetative phase.
![]() I think long hours of daylight over 16 may cause some Pure Sativas to go Hermie. I grew Highland Thai (a pure Sativa) a while back and didn't get one Hermie in the bunch. While others who have grown them complain that they Hermie like Hell. I never exposed my Thai plants to more than 14 hours of light ever. In their natural environment Pure Sativas never get 18 plus hours of daylight anyway. Which is what I reason in some going Hermie when people expose them to unnaturally long photoperiods. Opinions may vary on what I just said. But this is my take on Pure Sativas. |

Thanks corky, I am setting the timer for 14 hours of light and keeping them as dark as I can. It will probably be 13 1/2 hours of light when I put them out. Hoping they stay in veg.
