Why can't my autos find their own way up?
Out of every seed I ever germed they always more or less found their own way in life. They all knew up from down lol. So why is it with these auto nycd they germinate upside down lol, it's weird seeing a tap root growing towards the light
. So why do they do this?

Do you germinate or just go straight to soil, plant too deep and the seed will struggle to surface, but eventually it will correct itself ..
Better to germ on a damp kitchen towel, and transplant to your pot once the rootlet is about half an inch long, but they are fragile in this state! |

i have seen this happen on a few candy kush autos i had put directly into soil outside last year. They were in raised beds with a lot of other herbs growing around like thyme, rosemary, sage etc i had assumed that it was caused by some little creatures(pests of some sort?) that were living in/on the other herbs. Never seen it before with any other type of plant!

I use root cubes, every other seed I plant always works it out, dam Aussie beans, Lol.
It was in a humidity dome so maybe they just couldn't tell where the light was. I always thought it was the coytledons that found their way to the light, maybe it's the taproot looking for water that dictates which way is up, and with it being so humid they just couldn't tell. It's funny seeing little roots rather than leaves it tripped me out. |
