Mango Haze
Had 3 now down to 1.She's at 14th week of flower and still has a head of white hairs The size of my fist and 20'' long.Doesn't seem like she wants to finish for another 3 or 4 weeks. Is this normal for Shanti's Mango haze??Total plant is a hair under 6'.She seems to be a little riper on the bottom.TIA

Don't worry, it's normal. MH is more sativish than SSH and that influences flowering time. I've never grown it (...'till now) but I remember well the reports made by Hempy on CW and that guy was a tester of MH.
Here are some pics from one of his reports. Waitin' for a grow/smoke report ;-) Last edited by Syd; 06-26-2006 at 03:07 AM.. |

Very sure. I've saved those pics just 'cause they were MHs. I wish I have saved the entire thread but...at that time I can't imagine all the shit that would be happened to OG and CW.
However...I have to admit I'm a lil' stoned now...and my shitty English shows it well but I'm still sure they're MHs. ;-p |

I've just had a reminiscence: the pics are from the second Hempy's test on MH.
Well, now I'm 100% sure. If I'm wrong, you're all allowed to kick my ass and take away all my spicy cigarettes. |

Mango Haze is unbelievable! Now with that said its also very very tricky. If you generally grow Indica dominant plants this one may not be for you.
I saw a pheno that did what your describing, if you have patience and can keep it happy you will be greatly rewarded. Not that its the keeper IMO. I've noticed w/Shantis gear that selection is very key. He doesn't give out some worked up bullshit, if all my plants looked uniform I would be more disappointed because of the genepool being so shallow.. follow? Mango Haze grows true to Haze. Super stretchy and picky w/nutes. Somewhat light-sensitive - that is subjective - but otherwise for the Haze lover a MUST. This is not a plant for inexperienced growers. I've seen people with alot of skill miss the mark when it comes to the Mango Haze, so believe its not easy, but when shes dialed in theres very little that can stand up with her. I had 1 pheno that ran 14 wks, it had a rotten mango/hazey smell, very stretchy with a piercing soaring high that lasts. I had 1 that would go 10 weeks and basically be done with decent chunks and the traditional smell of Haze. My keeper didn't exude the largest flowers tho. She goes about 75 - 85 days with a ton of stretch after flower. If you have the patience and skill she will yeild but alot of work must be done and do not expect giant colas, it aint happening. Do expect to be laid on your ass, sativa style, no Indica sleepy just a mind smashing soar that last for about 3 hours. I have a very very high tolerance, so to me that statement is almost hard to believe, but true. Best of luck with the Mango, when you do dial it in your in for one hell of a ride. All the best, RO Last edited by roastedorange; 06-30-2006 at 05:11 PM.. |
