Cities may sue state for right to tax and ban
I figured this was going to happen, sadly. I think maybe the joint committee for rec. may suggest the legislature change the law to allow local governments to tax and ban rec. (that's what they can do in WA and CO, at least the banning part if not also the taxation part).
The law was written to prevent exactly this, by forbidding local gov. from adding taxes and requiring a majority vote of the population of that gov. to ban rec. https://www.oregonlive.com/mapes/inde...could_fac.html
