The Safari Mix is not a mix of our standard strains in the catalogue. It's a mix of different experimental hybrid crosses from our breeding lab. ;-)

Mike, will the Safari mix stand of up to heat as well as the rest of your strains. That is one of the biggest selling points for me because it is damn hot where I am right now.

I ordered the Speed Queen and the Safari Mix. Can you identify any of the posible genetics in the mix for us Mike?

Nearly all of them should exhibit the typical heat resistant traits of Mandala strains, but I can't guarantee for every single plant because after all these are the crosses we don't dwell on for further development.
I don't know how hot hot is over at your place. We run tests at up to 55°C with an average at 40-45°C to pick out the hardiest genetics. Mandala tip: usually you can spot the ones that run into difficulties by a yellowing of the leaf tips and edges and an overall paler colour (fertilizing will therefore not change anything - this has to do with water/nutrient uptake, etc.). They will still grow and flower but tend to fall behind compared to the others. You can just chuck a plant like that out of the garden if you have space issues or shift it to a cooler spot. Sorry but "identification" is not possible for a number of reasons. ;-) Have a good grow and keep us updated if you can, Mike

My box reaches 90-95F each day for about 2-3 hours. The box is in a walk in closet inside a bedroom. That bedroom is air conditioned, but it has 2 very large bay windows that the sun beats through for about about 2-3 hours each day and the air conditioning doesn't stand a chance. It heats the bedroom up fast and the air from this room is what supplies the closet. I haven't been growing in this house for very long, so I don't have it dialed in. I have tried covering the windows but they are so big and the sun is so hot.
I'll figure it out, but it helps that your strains are built to hold up to the heat. Your Hashberry is the only thing that has finished with any weight, everything else is light and fluffy. Thanks Mike! I couldn't past up the 20 for 10 Safari mix deal. |
