Sexbud definitely has a clear Sativa body structure besides the fact that flowers early and fast. As I said before it could happen that some leaves get wider and wider but that's only a small detail that does not even show up that often.

5th week of veg? You can definitely switch it to 12/12, time has come

What you say is absolutely true. Sexbud can be slow at first, but then she will surprize you and take off and catch up with the fastest strains.

One seedling took off nicely from the first. The second seed actually produced twin seedlings. Since both of those twins were slow, I decided to give the larger one the chance rather than lose both. So I ended up with two (rather than three).

They are both growing well. Lighter green than, say, ICE or Purple Maroc, and less thick with side-branches, good airflow. I guess that is the sativa side being dominant.

Anyway, here some sexbud "p-o-r-n" (for those who are inclined to want to see them, if not, please cover your eyes and look away ) photos taken today. The shorter one was my runt that has pushed into veg big time. The bigger one was germinated in late April and has been keeping up with the other strains nicely.

I am totally happy with Female Seeds, I had 100% germination rate (Sexbud, Purple Maroc, ICE) and all of the plants are beautiful.

Mr. B -- How do you think sexbud will flower if I simply allow the shortening days to trigger flowering? Where I am, the days will shorten to 14.25 hours by around the middle of August, but I understood sexbud will start sooner. Done by end of August? end of September? Your thoughts, please!

It's a fast one , it will be done around september .
But you can also do artificial nights to have it quickier .
( thing I had to do on spring harvests )

I understand the situation. If you wait for hours to get to approximately 12/12 then I am afraid it will start flowering around the end of August and from there we still need to calculate a 7/8 weeks of flowering stage. If the weather allows you to do it then go ahead but if not, then you may need to force the plant to get into flowering stage. But Skunkist is right, is a fast lady

Sexbud has pre-flowered already (but is not nearly so far along as the purple maroc, which as noted is now in flowering).

So with sexbud it looks better to flip to 12/12 by bringing her into a dark room for 12 hours at night.

Purple Maroc is also flowering? Nice to hear that too

With the Sexbud you will probably need to that, 12 hours at night and plenty of sun Outside during the day. This will be perfect for the plant health, and it may help her to stretch too.

Here is my second grow/harvest of SexBud. I chopped her down at 60 days with 11/13 light schedule. Indoor via LED and organic soil.


She's a medium feeder, and respond well to topped and LST. I actually had to super cropped several branches due to spacing (micro grow). Very resilient plant, with great fruity/melon/pineapple smell.

Did you find any relevant difference with your first grow?

Is an easy going variety, you can play with it a lot and it will always respond well to several growing techniques.

What about the smoke? Stimulating and creativity increase?

Since three days now, my babes have 12.5 hours at night in a light-tight room and, today, 6.5 hours of direct warm sunlight with high humidity and the rest is in the shade.

Sexbud is also now in flowering, althought this had started just before the light schedule changed.
