The Sexbud taste amazing! We had a really hard time trying to get cuttings to root. Finished with a rotten Grapefruit smell and taste that was amazing! I never thought that that taste would be so good!

Due to no clones surviving and none of the 3 girls re-vegged, just dried and died, we lost the strain this year. We are considering trying out the C99 and see if we can get better results cloning and that smell and taste back.

All in all it was the best looking and tasting out of that crop which was Ice, Sex Bud, & WW x BB. We are still running Ice at the moment.

We were curious about pics of the Sexbud you had, do you have any by any chance???
And about the C99...well, taste and smell will be probably different, C99 goes more on the Grapefruit side, fresh and juicy to be honest

Got a 6 of these seeds free with an order...
Did not know what to expect with these as no research was done....
All beans popped super quick and had virile growth.... out grew some other strains i have that are beasts ....

Very easy to grow and love to be topped...all phenos responded with lots of main heads and a sturdy structure..

Four of them gave me decent yields of sticky gooey fruity buds..... pineapple with a jolly rancher sweetness to them.... and the other two shocked me.... fruity but super pungent when cured.....a really earthy citrus smell ..

The hit from both are similar..typical c99 heavy with an energetic power up spinny buzz..



Female seeds i salute you.... a very good strain that has taken me by surprise and i look forward to having it in my arsenal and experimenting with my techniques to bring the best out of it in the future....

This strain did not seem to like having cuttings taken late veg /pre flower
took a few in early veg and they rooted quickly and a few more in late veg as the plants seemed to be pre flowering...
the second few took ages and did not seem happy , i had to pull out all the stops ..
so i think take them early rather than later from this strain..

A really great smoke, fast to finish sativa and match to it description .
Difficult to be disapointed I think .
Worth a try for sure !

Hey Vibration,

Thanks for the lovely feedback, it makes us very happy and proud that growers like you are that grateful and pleased with our seeds.

Sexbud is quite a recent strain, there are not that many grow reports around. This is the reason why is somehow an underdog, not many people talk about it.

Genetics are White Grapefruit (a particular phenotype, extremely aromatic and perfuming, of Grapefruit crossed with our beloved C99) We consider it as an improvement of our C99. And when I say improved, I mean a faster flowering period, a more intense smell and odour and in particular the buds which are even more resinous than the C99.
This is why you find common elements between C99 and this strain. Thing is that the Sexbud has some great phenotypes as you noticed already. Pineapple, peach are the kind of smells and odours that are mostly described as main features of this plant


If you really want to top it, as you realised and wrote later, the best moment is during veg phase. Better not do it too late like in the pre flowering since you could stress the plant in some cases.
