i'd like to thank you Chimera, and DJ Short for what you've done here, making this beautiful plant! much props! so far they seem very uniform and stout.

here are a few pics of my seedlings, day 34 of veg, they've been moved under a 150w HPS. they've been under 12/12 for a 3 days now and are just starting to show sex.....

the preflowers are coming in, and are very small right now, but by the looks of it i've got 2-3 males on my hands, and the remaining 3 haven't showed anything. (wish me luck)

the males will be killed.....i don't have any desire to breed/seed anything right now, i want to use all my space for females.

i mentioned before that i labeled the seedlings @ planting, F1-F7, F1 being the longest taproot, F7 being the shortest. well.......

F3 is a FEMALE!

she showed yesterday, after a solid week of 12/12.









and here's the rest of the bunch, apparently 3 males and 2 unknowns, but i will wait and make sure before i chop the guys.

congrats on the female man.. you plan on keeping any of the males?

i was gone all weekend and returned to a mega-muthafuckin-whammy! the remaining 5 seedlings showed sex. even the little re-root! (#F7)

and the grand total is.........
1 MALE
5 FEMALE


luck, karma, technique? i dunno, but this was the first male this garden's ever seen. i definitely started guessing the sex too early, but i've got the hang of it now after seeing these.

They are still very uniform so far. Here's a shot of some lower growth. Keep in mind that these have been under a 150w HPS for almost 2 weeks, otherwise there would be much more lower growth.





Overall I'm very pleased with the results so far, Fighting Buddha has been a pleasure to grow. I'm transplanting everything now and after a few days rest, they will be topped. I hope the Fighting Buddha likes to bush out!
