How is the yumboldt seed stock these days?

So of all the cannabis I ever smoked the yumboldt I tried in 2003 that had nugs like the photos of foe20 were my favorite. The best tasting and best strain for anxiety, stress, and depression I ever tried and I live in a california. Really it was in a class all its own it had this warm euphoric center that radiated relaxation and joy through out my body.

I think it is the most underrated strain out there.

So how does the seeds stock faire these days?

Did foe20 rework the strain?

I have an original pack like the ones Foe20 had. Drives me nuts having so many badass genetic chioces to run and no safe spot to grow them in. But the old school Yumboldt is on the top of the list. I pray they are still good once I find a spot but that could be a few years away.

Fuck man... stupid ass laws

I grew a pack of fem Yumbolt in late 2013. 100% germination. very uniform compact christmas trees, low stretch, a bit slow in veg. Good strong high from green/gold buds that shrank more than many when dried. med yield. excellent piney flavor. smoke is kinda expansive- get greedy & you'll cough up a lung.

Dunno why they'd change it. It's unique & very good, its hybrid origins unclear. They should change their stock pic as the one they use doesn't do it justice.

imo the current selection is not as good as the originals. I grew out both and the original was way better on all accounts....

Every Yumboldt thread on this Sag sub furum confirmes that at least the father was lost. Tony is even posting in some of them. I think Tony said the Yumboldt mother clone was saved but they had to re-select a male for the new version.

The post you are refering to does not really talk about Yumboldt more about the Sag lines in general.
