Are you personally positive people have grown under the open skies up here because this rain can get so strong and heavy that I can easily picture plants getting snapped? I'm gonna list the lines I've got that I will try putting out. From what I've read this could literally be trial and error, but Sativas are strongly favored over indicas, from what I've read. Typically I'd be cool with this as I prefer Sats, but my sleeping patterns are a wreck from health problems and I just got 2 strong indicas to try to help with my insomnia (I got 2hrs and 45 minutes sleep last night, gonna try to sleep more after I get off of here. Been averaging 6-7 hours since January and this crap really burns you out and makes health problems worse). So here's the Sativa's I'll keep mother's of inside, and stick clones outside: SSSHD IX (Super Silver Sour Haze Diesel I think it is) CAT Supersonic MOSCA C99 F1 (I had 1 out of 10 of these ancient seeds take!! And she's showing female flowers already!! Woohoo!!) My own C99 F4 IBL from Gypsy Nirvana's Brother's Grimm orig stock (Only 1 plant out of thousands of seeds has taken and is growing...still trying to get these seeds from my 2009 grow to pop. Seems like temperatures and soaking time are critical to getting any possibility of these guys sprouting and then growing). Peak Seeds C99 (just started all these Peak Seeds sprouts) Peak Seeds Sweet Skunk x C99 And then the more indica leaning plants I have are: CAT Venomdog Peak Seeds Northern Berry The SSSHD IX are the most sativa looking. But I swear the torrential downpours scare me more than the frequent moisture. I can just picture checking my plants after one of these deafening rains only to find a broken mess of plants. I may cave and grow out some c99 inside along with the indicas but I have to figure out where the hell to put them and not aggravate the wife with my "smelly" plants. |

You need local acclimated lines to grow up there. Most commercial seeds arent going to make it. How many plants ya wanna grow? Might be easier just to get cards for you and wifey and grow 14 large plants in a gh. Here is a pic of a plant grown outdoors in volcano with no mold.

If they wanted to take on the impossible task of going door to door to check every one of the 13,000+ card holders in the state, they'd just drive. From the sky they can see all the people who arent playing by the rules and skip all the small fish. I'd much rather be protected by state law with a medical card and have them count my plants vs having my door kicked in at 6am. |

I wasn't thinking of them going door to door checking grows, but instead fly overs with a google maps type interface and licensees flagged by address on the maps. It would be pretty efficient to fly over people living in areas that are conducive to big grows and who have licenses. So far as the rules go, the State and the Feds don't play by the rules. They apply law to people when it doesn't apply and because people don't study the law or know how to fight in court they simply get a lawyer, who milks them for money, and they get hit with a plea deal, which they could have worked out with out a lawyer. The laws that they hit people with are all laws intended to regulate commercial, legal or illegal, activity. Those just growing for themselves aren't engaged in commerce and fall outside of the regulated activity. In fact, they have a definition for these people in the laws called the "ultimate user". The ultimate user can't be prosecuted for distribution, manufacture, etc. All those things are commercial in nature. These lawyers need to be hanged til they're dead for doing what they're doing with intentional misapplication of the law. They're extorting peoples ignorance. And yeh I don't want my doors kicked in but given that I've already been a whistleblower I'm not getting a license as it would simply be a heads up to the Feds if they wanted to mess with me and waste my time fighting in court. The Feds can crash the whole State Licensing thing any time they want. For now I think they all see it as a bigger cash maker since they couldn't stop all the growers. They want a piece of the pie. The CIA couldn't control the pot market like they do the coke and heroin markets so they need another avenue while trying to get their slice of the pie. I'd prefer to keep gorilla growing and fight them in court if I had to. I already won one thing Pro Se. They know I'm a headache guy. Lol, that's generally what I thought but it sounded like there were set cycles that people were growing around which also gave the GH people the chance to go out near the end of a grow cycle. I was thinking of trying to grow outside off cycle if that was the case, but I also wasn't sure if my plants would get locked in with some subtle season effects. |

Dude, I got 3.5 hours sleep last night, but today was so warm up in the forest that I had to spend my time outside. It was a gorgeous day and I now know the sexes of 10 of 12 plants. Gonna axe one male. Prolly gonna stick it out in direct constant light and possible rain to see how that line handles the wet.
Man what a day! My muscles and tendons still feel good from the heat. Hope it's another day like that tomorrow. Overgrow the gov!

OH, sorry to hear about all the issues you're up against. Seems like a lotta stress for one man. I am very familiar with that. What can we do besides learn to swim?
Fight on brother. Sorry to hear about your friend man, thats rough. Hate to see good people go young. Atleast you have the sense to try and take something positive from these negative experiences. I hope the weather cooperates with ya the rest of the season, and you're able to get some enjoyment outta the labor you've put in.. Was it you who built the terraces? How are those going? I have a Skunkdog x SCMK/Black Indica female I selected from an indoor in january. Ive put out quite a few of her into big old smart pots amended with promix and organic amendments. Ive also got about 6 seeds of her running also, to select from. Im going to hit my favorite female clone with a cpl of my favorite males for more seed. I also plant to bring in any nice girls that pop up before they start flowering to keep her alive for future grows. Im anxious to see how the other seeds turn out. Im going ot try to throw up a grow log soon. Just been super swamped with the outdoor guerilla grow. Im running a few different varieties and trying to get them vegged up and in good sized pots. Trouble is most are seed plants, and havent been sexed yet. Im growing in a wet swamp area, in smart pots, and other plastic pots. I dont want to waste too much time or money uppotting them into big smart pots with amendments if theyre just going to be males. The promix here is about $1/ Cu ft., and seems most ag stores have limited amounts. Also the amenments aren't very cheap. Im running on a very tight budget, and thankfully I bought most of these things early season. Ive already gone thru 6 bales of promix, and a half pallet of Miracle gro Organic Potting mix (Its a combo of Peat, Coco, yucca, and other organicness, with trace amounts of food. Ive been mixing this like 1/3 with my promix BX. Greats a really nice loomy, well draining soil, along with compost, EWC, Feather Meal, Kelp meal, Bone Meal, Blood meal, Chicken poop. With constant watering, they grow very fast.. Im planning to just hit with teas a cpl times in veg, and teas high in PK thru flower! I battled fungus gnat larvae while i was trying to germ and start seeds, which knocked out a lot of my seedlings, so Ive been popping seeds right up to mid june.. Now Im dealing with armies of slugs that are devouring entire plants! Fuckers. Starting to get a bit dry now that summer's here, but we just got a nice little rain this A.M which Im thanful for! Ill try to shoot some pics this weekend when I hit the garden again. |
