If a mother plant is in a state of hormonal imbalance, could this change the scion plant?

I have a trainwreck from seed that was in the care of another grower who pumped it up with PGR(Paclobutrazol) in the form of roots excelerator, will the cuts i take from this stocky little narrow leaf expression show the same stunted nodes? (the widow in the same nft system at this guys house was like a cabbage lol..guess thats what happens when you dump the whole bottle in a res)

Good question. No clue but please post results if you do take cuts!

My guess is that it would revert back to how it was showing when you had it prior, presuming the setup is close to the same. That is, after a few years under your watch.

I have never had this plant before, its is a seed grown in NFT transplanted into dirt. i took it when it went into dirt, my friend still another two TW and a widow in the same tank she was born in. I was thinking if a plant hormone affects Phenotype long term, like a teenage human using growth hormone, would he stay like arnie or revert. or in this case, she.

Maybe if some one knows of a thread in depth in PGR residuals, effects etc that would be cool to link me!

Paclobutrazol is very potent and remains in the plant a long time (up to 2-3 years). As soon as it's out of the system, your plant will go back to business as usual .
If there's too much paclo in it, you might want to take a cutting of your cutting in order to dilute it strong enough...

This product is not suitable for edible crops, acording to the MSDS Sheet. So, this is not good news for those smoking residue without knowing.

That's why you take a cutting of the contaminated plant and use that as mother. It is safe to assume that cuttings taken from that plants will pose no health risk anymore.

I'm not worried about me, I know this is the only plant in my garden grown with paclobutrazol. All the people smoking commercial weed in my country they don't know.
