About 6 month ago I planted 3 packs of his 99bx1 and they germed without any problems, but I dont know if they are older or newer than the C99 F1

How was the quality of the finished product? I was expecting more from the C99bx1, its a nice smoke, but far from the original from Brothers Grimm imo

You are exactly right. I grew some several years ago and was disappointed. I just about to harvest and they look nowhere as good as the bro grim stock I grew when they first released it. Don't know why I tried these again.

The original was much more potent and had a more racy sativa high, the C99bx1 is more of a mellow daytime smoke, the smell and taste is best described as just citrus where the original had the distinctive pineapple and grapefruit phenos, it takes about 1-2 weeks longer to mature and got more leaves in the bud, I had one plant that was above the others in taste and potency, but it was a very low yielder and didnt want to be cloned, im sure there is a gem hidden somewhere in those seeds, you can see the potential, question is just who´s the lucky one to find it.
I did keep some mothers, and are just in the process of testing the first run from clones, but its still too freshly harvested to give a final verdict, but unless something got alot better I will just keep the best yielding one, it is some nice smoke when you dont want to be glued to the couch or run around in cirkels forgetting what you where doing, it was just not what I expected (if I didnt know it was supposed to be C99 I think I would have been happy enough)

Damn, popped 10 of ten and it was wonderful... just like the original for potency and aroma...was grown outdoors in NorCal... last summer. Got four girls that yielded nicely, forgot the count...but it was groovy. I do recommend these beans, they have been well cared for in the vaults.
