Anything that is available anywhere in the country is available in Illinois with a street/retail of $225-$275 a z depending on their source, and has been for a decade. CA export, and more recently CO and WA exports, as well as local which has existed for decades. Wholesale's are $2600-$3400 a unit and breakdown accordingly.
CBD extracts are available to anyone, in any state, and have been for quite some time and fall outside licensure. The only patients initially who will pay anything more than the above are those who have no other source/first timer patients. Concentrates are whatever one can ask and a very unique market.....$30 gram more or less across the board for everything is reasonable estimate. Illinois is not a "new market"....... It merely has a "new program" which people will try and adapt to the already existing market.

Personally I like clear energetic sativas. Mid african origin or northern India. Maybe not so much after a 12 hour day. Is the market in Illinois flooded with any specific strains right now? |

Note: I forgot discussion of prices isn't acceptable.....
I was only addressing the initial question. My preferences not applicable. This a topic which can be freely discussed and quite interesting actually. I once had a foaf in a nursing home, one of their friends undergoing chemo.....I made arrangements to lay something on him.....and, before I knew it....we were dropping a p a time there (for free of course) as well as couple z's of oil......(That was 15 years ago...I was elsewhere at the time but a reach and quite a bit on hand...) They have already extended the petitioning of adding to the approved conditions, which will be addressed every 6 months. It has also been quoted as "they expect a large volume" of petitions, and are prepared to hear "a large volume" of petitions. I think people have misunderstood the overview, as most leaning on patient participation when in the end, it will be determined by physician participation....and this, to start, will limit program, but will surely change once things underway. For larger ops with greater interests, it would be worth sponsoring medical community education, such as having someone come in (Patients Out of Time for example), and approach from that direction. (That was actually billable hour information.....but execution of such would serve all, so.....that one's on the house )The real problem will be physicians....many different ways to approach. Of course, as all know, we are looking for, and has been mentioned and addressed in passing by state already: PTSD, Insomnia, Anxiety, Migraines and the biggie-Chronic Pain. The addition of the following will push patient numbers into the 6 figures. I believe there has also been discussion of loosening the process (patient) in the form of prints not being required. Currently also I believe veterans are excluded from some requirements as well. (no doctor sign off I believe due to the fed link?..this I would have to check. I'm not as well versed on the patient guidelines as I am not a physician....and does not apply to my/our interests) Edit: a 12hr. day doesn't exist for me......mine run 36hrs. minimum and sometimes reach 80hrs. straight... 12hr. days are "part time"..... ![]() I think I could provide some expansive answers to the above/initial post if truly interested.

Total Failure
The program is going to be a total failure. This is THE most expensive program to roll out in the history of the nation. 200k for a cultivation license and 100k to renew EVERY year?
I can tell you exactly how they intend to recoup that investment. The patients. Prepare to pay through-the-nose. Any "deals" to be had will be sold as "access". "Well, you should be happy to pay $20/g and $60/-1/8! Better than the Black Market, right?" I can hear those words being echoed all across the state. I am not sure why any grower would spend their day growing product that will result in a ticket or criminal conviction, should they be caught with that product anywhere outside the cultivation center. Which I will add, is under 24/video stream. I can't wait for the first phone call to hit complaining that The Authorities can't see Employee X's ID badge clearly enough from the monitor. Taking employment one step further, I just can't see working in that type of environment and face the hostility when I could be doing the exact same thing in Denver, have access to the retail Disp. AND be able to grow my own at home. But to answer the OP's question, unless you have been awarded a cultivation or Disp. license, it is a mute issue. What will actually be required is mirror of every Disp. that is already out there. One that holds a complete spectrum of offerings ranging from high to low THC, and power punching CBD. Retail Cannabis in Illinois? Not for a very, very, long time. 10 years, easy, imo. |

I've tried Harlequin, cannatonic, and Sour Tsunami, and have some CannaTsu going in the bloom room right now. Out of the three above, I liked sour tsunami the best...good flavor and it seemed to have a little more THC than the other two. All cbd rich is pretty boring. The CannaTsu is all over the place, tall phenos, short phenos, mostly growing really sativa, looks kinda hempy, they guzzle calmag. My favorite one is smelling like lemon verbena, really nice. The others are unimpressive right now.

if it is even possible to sue the dept of health and human services that is the only way short of federal action mmj will happen in Illinois.
35 years ago they passed a pretty great mmj bill and it is that dept that has refused to create protocol to allow people to utilize it. This new bill only served to enrich these crooks and their crook friends and they have no desire to actually go through with it. Its a fugazi! |
