Black Lights from Coastal Seeds ('95 Black Domina x vintage nl#1) sexed and ready to go. 7 males, 3 females. Looking for some old school funk in here.

2 males stood out on the stem rub. #2 on the left, #1 on right. I try to label plants after they are sexed and selected, so often whatever is labeled #1 is my favorite pick. Real interesting sweet fruity funk on that one.

The rest of the males, 3,4,5,6. Not much smell on these, but I like the structure on 3 and 6 so I'm thinking I might collect pollen from one of them also. Open to suggestions if one stands out to anyone.

And my 3 females. Going to transplant and let them get nice and comfy while I flower the males out.

To change things up a little I went with coco and pbp this run in the cmh tent. Added another light so we've got 945w this time.

I've been experimenting with Mushroombrew's defoliation tech the last few runs in my little closet. I was so impressed with the results that I'm all in this round. Pre-defoliation at day 21:

Post defoliation, day 25:

6 extra hours of work, but well worth the effort! I only wish I had a few more plants to stuff in there.

Whats up scrappy? Looking stellar as usual. Black lights are looking vigorous.

What size tent you running those green beams in? How many plants in there? Coir too huh, no run off on this one? Are you gonna trellis in the tent?

Mb is a day 21 and 42 defol guy right? Ive seen it work and fail. I talked with Mb about it, and two things are important to know imo, to be successful with it. First, healthy plants before stipping leaves of course, and second leave the top 2 or 3 leaves on for the top growth to keep churning. Is that your experience so far, or do you do something different?

Hey MM! That's a 4x8 tent. So far no runoff but once they start really drinking I'll let it runoff into the drip trays and leave it there for them to sip on when thirsty. No trellis but I've got bamboo stakes and 9 guage steel wire to make tomato cages for those who need it.

I only defol on day 21(ish). Haven't seen the need for a second round yet unless I missed some. I do leave the very top leaves on there.

16 plants in there. Originally there were 18 but 2 turned out male. At first I was glad because they were really packed in there tight but after defoliating I'm wishing I had a couple more to put in there. Defoliating really free's up a lot of space and that's where the magic is imo. I can't say for sure stripping the leaves on a plant increases yield but it doesn't seem to hurt it one bit and you get quality buds all up and down the plant. The benefit is freeing up so much extra space allows you to stuff more plants in there and that's where the yield bump comes in. You get a room full of buds instead of a room full of buds and leaves. Unfortunately for me this round I lost 2 and none to replace them with. Lesson learned.

Hope all has been well bruddah! Happy easter!

seed runs are looking beatiful. we have an old pheno of blueberry that has been passed down from the elders and it was from the time when the blueberry was around and in Northern California it was before the time all the phenos starting popping up since they couldnt get this clone they began ordering and popping seeds they would occasionally come across some of the older dudes called it blueberry sativa. I lost everything when the wildfires took my home and gardens but i am going to start trying to rebuild the house and the genetic library and reach out to the old timers and im sure i can secure you a few new strains as well when i make the trips

Those black lights will be interesting to see how they develop, I just acquired a pack of Chem 101, will be popping it in a few months! I'll be watching the show here!
