October-finishing, most uplifting high for 51N?

Hi folks, it's been a while since I've grown anything, and it's great to see Esbe's superb work has continued. However, this leaves me in a tough spot, with regard to choosing which 2 or 3 strains to grow in 2015.

I love Hazes and the uplifting, racy high that so often comes with them. I've narrowed next year's strains down to a few strains (listed below), but can anyone please suggest which will give the closest to a good Hazy buzz?

Arne's Hashplant

Hashplant 2

I've read a convincing report that this is more uplifting than AHP, but the Danish Gold added to the cross would suggest otherwise, unless I'm mistaken? I'd really love to hear Esbe's opinion on this.

Super 07 and Wild strains

I'm at a total loss with making a decision here, between all the different selections on offer: Super07 Mix; Wild Super07; Wild White; Wild1; Wild2; Wild3; and Wild4

I'm really finding it impossible to know which one of those 7 super/wild strains I should choose, how are they different from each other?

And then there's also Amnesia x HP2, which sounds lovely, but I'm not sure how it'll perform at my latitude, nor how well it resists mold; SSSDH x HP2, which is very tempting and matches my latitude criteria; and, finally, Arne's Amnesiated SSSDH, which also sounds like a good bet.

I wish I could grow them all, but I can't, I must decide on just 3 at the most, and it's really making my brain ache! Still, it's nice to have such a great selection

I tried Esbe's Tehran Bubblegum. It had a nice fruity flavor, good mellow stone without being to intense or putting me to sleep. Great mold and pest resistance and vigor. He has nice strains.
I'm at 48 degrees N I've decided I can grow a lot strains I like indoors. As long as they are "main run" finishing Sept 25-Oct 10th. I grew an OG KushXSuper Silver Haze that was awesome. Finished by Oct 5th and was super frosty.
I've found if it can finish in N California it will finish up here. Of course you are on the other side of the pond so it's harder to get the Humboldt and Mendocino seeds. But most indoor strains that finish in less than 60 days will finish in time up here.

Thanks rev, I remember the Tehran Bubblegum from back when it was listed on Seedbay a few years back. It might, perhaps, be a bit too neutral for what I'm looking though. I really want something uplifting, but potent enough, that gets nice and trippy after a while (the closer to shrooms the better! ).

Good job on getting the OGK x SSH to finish outdoors, but I'm a bit weary about using untested strains here, in the very damp, maritime climate we have. It's a world away from the comparatively dryer climes of northern California, and I'm just too worried about inadequate mold resistance (British Columbian outdoor genetics I'd be a lot happier to try, however). I trust Esbe, since his strains are developed in a similar region to where I'll be growing, only it's colder where he is, at a slightly higher latitude. Basically, if it works for him, then it'll almost certainly work for me, I figure.

One day, I hope to get off this grey, miserable isle, to relocate somewhere with some decent sun, but until then there's always HFH

You are very much right about 'untested' strains. I get seeds from experienced Northern Cali outdoor growers and the success rate is 85-90%. When I get seedbank seeds, even from the good companies it's under 50%. The plants lack vigor and resistance, succumb quickly to grey mold. The few exceptions are Canadian or esbe.
One thing about Northern California. Near the coast the weather is cold, windy and wet. My grower friends in Mendocino lost quite a bit to grey mold. Storms blew in at just the wrong time.
The medical plant counts have caused problems. When you can only grow so many plants guys try to maximize the yield. No more small early plants they want huge monsters that veg as long as possible. When I started growing in the late 90's I harvested Sep 20-30. I knew i'd have everything down before October. Now my yield is better but I'm waiting until Oct 10-15.
There isn't enough daylight to dry the colas out there is no margin for error. Wish I had done a better job of stashing seeds and breeding. I used to grow some amazing ganja that finished fast.

Thumbs up

You raise some good points there, rev. As with your good self, I've found myself veering away from seeking out plants that can simply be harvested as soon as possible, towards looking for strains that may take as long as early November to finish, but have a proven track record of excellent mold resistance, keeping them mostly (even sometimes completely) rot-free up until such a late harvest. I really have no problem waiting an extra 6 weeks, or so, provided I'm not putting the girls under too much risk of deteriorating.

Admittedly, my latitude only affords me the luxury of, at the most, an extremely limited number of strains bearing such qualities (not much further north and finishing past mid-October seems a far more arduous task, if not verging on impossible?), but they do exist and seek them out we must!

Incidentally, I decided to take a gamble and order a pack of Jaggen/C99 x Hashplant 2; I guess time will tell how they fare when planted, but, as a very uneducated guess, I'm thinking perhaps mid-October to early November dependent on phenotype. Still, there's also a good chance with such an untested hybrid, consisting of genetics that often perform poorly outdoors where I am (Jack Herer, C99, kind of the same thing), that some phenos wont finish at all, but so long as there's a chance of at least one or two useable phenos appearing, then to me it makes the effort of growing them all worthwhile. This, of course, is nothing compared to the amount effort exuded by good folk like Esbe, to make these strains available to us in the first place; of which, I've no doubt, I'm not the only one to be extremely grateful.

Hi. I am new in this Forum but since you where talking about "hash plant 2" i had to register.

I live in Sweden i have grown this strain for 3 years with the best of results. This summer i bought 30 seeds and 75% was female's. This is a very stable and great strain. I only grow in the summer and i totally rely upon this strain for my cannabis. It last me the hole winter.

But i am looking for more seeds for this strain. I have been talking to the owners of Zenseed's and they have had a burglery and all of their seeds has been stolen. This is fucking devastating for me. I really need more seeds of this strain for 2016.

If anyone have any seeds left. Please let me know, i can pay big money for just a couple of seeds. So i can reproduce them.

Green Regards,

The most uplifting strain i had from HFH was without a doubt Mighty Haze from Arne. They were not that powerfull, but extremely pleasent. A great motivation weed, super fluffy buds and done in september at 45 north.

I don't know if they still sell that strain... If not, the Super07 line is quit good. I wasn't in love with the taste, but it's probably resulting from a poor drying/curring. They had enough potency, but i won't consider the high uplifting. Much more like a relax indica effect. Very mold resistent.

Lost a lot of Wild line buds from mold last summer.
