Jaggen x c99 hybrid
Managed to pick some up for lat 51 uk, what can i expect from the cross? there seems to be an early pheno of hashplant 2 and a later, which one was used for the cross? Have they been tested as a cross in the great outdoors. Thanks for the freebies sssh x hp2, awesome stuff, very hyped for both these strains
cheers |

what's up geo1, I picked up a pack of these too, waiting for 4 to germ right now. I'd been searching a bit for info but there's not much on here about Jaggen, and what there is, is in German and relates to indoor grows so not particularly relevant.
Jaggen is a cut of Jack Flash, C99 is a cut of Jack Herer, so a there's lot of Jack in there, and mixed with the 'uplifting high' of the HP2... well, I can imagine really exciting things from this cross - should be pretty bloody 'up', no? Well that's merely speculation on my part but it'd be great to get more knowledge on this (and the other new HFH hybrids too - I also picked up the Tsi Fly x HP2, SSSDH x HP2 and got the Amnesia x HP2 as a freebie). |

As soon as I read this thread, that was it, I had to go order myself a pack. No idea how well a cross with so much Jack Herer will perform at 51, but with any luck the HP2 genes will help it along.
Hoping this is the soaring, hazey high I've been looking for in a good outdoor strain. |

I've not had the greatest of success with these seeds so far, out of the 5 I eventually started, only two remain - all germed fine but I lost 2 to damping off, then one got snapped by accident while moving the seed tray. This variety seems to be taking all the hits.
I started a whole load of HFH seeds at the same time and of the new stock, this one is definitely the slowest starter and the only one with such heavy losses. Of the other HP2 crosses I lost a couple of Amnesia x HP2 but Tsi Fly and SSSDH are looking very strong and vigorous. humble beginnings... note: Just to see the difference I germed 2 of each variety in paper towel (my usual method) and 2 of each direct in the soil - I don't have the final results worked out yet but I reckon germing in paper has given me better results. here they are enjoying the sunshine yesterday afternoon, 12 days later. and here they are amongst (somewhat leggy) friends... I've started them indoors under my old agrolite ufo flouro but when it's sunny they get moved to the greenhouse, which is where I'm planning to flower them end Feb/early March. |

I would say you have got some of the best commercial genetics for your climate, Esben and co have got it sussed! I have grown the HP2 outdoors further north and had great results, some phenos have a very rushy sativa high. I always find myself wandering from room to room forgetting the purpose of the motion..I came here with intent but now it's gone ![]() PEACE S.S |

rootrainers
Yeah, I think so too, it's the first time I've used them for weed, usually it's jiffy pellets then peat pots for me but this time I didn't have any of those, so I thought if they work for tomatoes then why not... They've done pretty well but I think I need to experiment to get the best out of them, for example i'm not sure if the root air-pruning they do has had any dwarfing effect on the plants at all and also I'm sure I'd feel more confident using them for strains that had very little or no tendency to autoflower.
Having said all that, I was really happy with the root formation on quite a few of the plants: the two on the right here are the c99/jaggen x hp2, huge difference between the roots. the better-developed one is looking like it may be a male. These are some Bangi Haze roots: Nice Cheestral on the far right. anyway, everything's out of rootrainers now. I'll definitely use them again. These are the deep ones with a capacity of 175ml each cell. They do a Maxi version which has 350ml, I'd love to see someone try and do a micro-SOG with a few trays of those. Not really my scene unfortunately, but I'm sure some of the yoghurt pot crew could do something with it. peace, TEC. |

oops yesterday I forgot to post this pic of my 2 C99/Jaggen x HP2,
this is from 4 days ago, they'd been transplanted the day before. They're looking much happier now, I'll try and snap a pic later on today. |
