Hi mate...long time, how r u doin?
For me, work happened and time is mentally short on supply atm!! :-/

The babas...not too good..were doing really well till third node, then.started yellowing, similar to other ones...tested ph, expecting alkaline...but was hovering around 5! From one extreme to the other...too impatient! :(

This time gonna let autos be for summer outdoors....
Mixed some canna terra + coco + EWC + pearlite....50-20-15-15% - keeping it simple, only added dolomite lime: just want a harvest! Will go back to experimenting later....final pH was 6.3, but i expect it will rise to almost 7 by the time the lime has done its thing. Even let coco sit with lime for a dew days to ensure it is nicely charged

So...so far have settled for a Mango pheno...will try rescue nordika (repotted in same soil as mango) and, if. I am lucky, the WW....if not successful, this weekend it will be a Spoetnik joining the Mango!

Will post photos when there is some action

Lol, to be fair...i blame me! Someone who started same time as me got 100g/plant, very similar setup as well as far as light and soil go...they just need little or no attention!

Will be dropping by your new journal, hopefully will get a chance this eve!

NEW SETUP!!

Ok, I have been away a while, as things were never working i have been studying and trying new things - dialling it in, I believe many call it

Another set of autoflowers remaining small and more plants struggling beyond 4th node....although I will prob at least get to taste the auto's flavour this time!!

The nice longer summer hours have allowed me to grow outdoors while indoors...including a lot of tomatoes...and I started getting some good answers...

Firstly, there really is no substitute for sunshine! It just gives plants everything they need...we have a lot to learn still for technology to catch up! But this is a whole different conversation!
anyways, for whatever reason, even outdoors tomatoes and weed were struggling in smartpots..due to lack of space, a lot tomatoes were planted in normal pots....and they were doing sooo much better!!! Strange, but that's my experience...

Then there is the light. I put some of the really struggling plants into the windowsill...and they recovered great! Slow at first (lesson learnt here too - the biodegradable pots now get transplanted with no bottoms ).

So, I now have made a,change - I now have a BUDMASTER II 300 OD I got very lucky with a top man giving it to me for trials with my tomatoes
And I have to say, the difference is remarkable! Not saying it was the reflector's fault by any means, as I have said, there were a number of factors I changed - but it is different class. i say this because when the first thing i changed was the light..and the seedlings stopped struggling, though still not thriving for the abovementioned reasons.

Now, i have also learnt that the LED in my space is a little too strong for small plants with little rootmass...and also how much easier to water now it is in plastic pots (i am pretty sure slightly overwatered the seedlings too - though in sun they were done in same way and no probs?)

Anyway, two of the plants outside were put in there a week ago and all is good, switched to flower on 15th june...and here are some photos!
